Man I remember going to all there concerts here in Lubbock, Tx when I was little. Oh Yeah, Im also his first cousin on his Mom's side. They use to eat meundo after almost every show at my house. Mom (his Aunt Josie) always cooked for the band lol. One of the reasons why I keep playing music here in Lubbock!!
One of the original members of Xelencia, DeAnda began his career as lead vocalist with the family band Los Chamacos de Raul DeAnda, also featuring his first cousin Jamie DeAnda. Accordion giant Albert Zamora was a member of DeAnda's next band, Los Chavalos, which lasted up until about 1988 when the unit that would become Xelencia began forming. He also formed David De Anda y La Ley and went back to bring Xelencia.
