Buakaw fought well, but hw doesn't seem to be well conditioned for this fight.

I studied Muay Thai myself when I was living in Thailand for a while, and I know how hard it is to get to where these guys are.

I actually met Masato in Bangkok. He is a really short guy, lol.

Masato earned it, Buakaw is a great fighter but lacks on a good boxing technique, Masato trainned hard his boxing skills, combinations, almost every uper cut got through Buakaw's guard and that got a great deal to do with his victory.

No doubt Buakaw's grand, though not so much in thailand, but this was a clear victory for Masato. Great fight.

@dbaltazarful I know why because I practition muay thai at the Fresno Kickboxing Academy in clovis,CA. If K1 where to allow elbows and knees in the clinch muay would dominate the sport. boxers and tae kwon do experts and even freestyle or sanda artists would have a hard time controlling a fight and would be forced to cross train muay thai. Also the banning of the use of elbows is for the fighters safety and to promote a healthy fight career.

I love Bua; usually I'd defend him on a lot of things concerning K-1. But seriously guys there's no excuse here; he lost fair-and-square against Masato.

He can't fight like he did in '04, not b/c he doesn't have "spirit" but b/c obviously fighters grow and evolve and Masato certainly won't take the risk in fighting Bua the same way he did in '04. He stuffed Bua a lot more this time with constant pressure with his hands (his specialty of course) and kept within a closer range to avoid push kicks
