  • Even if these guys get tried and railed, they are gonna be bunking in a white collar jail with heated floors, golf course, catered meals etc like Manuel Noriega.......

  • @xxxdieselyyy you're right and the thought makes me sick, how are they even still alive is beyond me, why werent they hunted and killed like the people they terrorize, why were they still living looking real healthy, fuck that, and the young generation they dont care they only care about selling noodles and shit, that's why these people lived so long, and happy lives amongst their victims...sad

  • @hazedus -----------how are they even still alive is beyond me------------>Who? The Khmer Rouge leaders? Easy, 'coz the leader of Cambodia is Khmer Rouge member (Hun Sen). He DID defect to Vietnam, but not out of his opposition or grudge w/ KR, but because Pol Pot pinned him down 4 suspicion. But I've never seen Hun Sen express any sort of regret of being in the Khmer Rouge ever.

The young generation cares not much about KR because a lot of them know this is a kangaroo showpiece trial.

  • @hazedus -----------and the young generation they dont care they only care about selling noodles and shit--------->Your circumstances largely shapes u r views and does so overwhelmingly. Otherwise we would've had our first and last war in like 24000 BC or something.

Today, in Cambodia, if u were a Khmer "common man" feeding u r family is a more pressing concern than the Khmer Rouge. If u don't sell noodles u and u r family gets to experience live the life conditions as in Khmer Rouge era.

  • 'Operation Menu was the codename of a covert United States Strategic Air Command (SAC) bombing campaign conducted in eastern Cambodia from 18 March 1969 until 26 May 1970, during the Vietnam War leading to the destruction of over 1,000 towns and villages, the displacement of 2,000,000, and the deaths of over 600,000 Cambodians.'

and what about these US war crimes??? ay ay?

  • The guy at 2:34 is how pol pot got on with things

  • they should just be kill right on the spot.. life in prison wtf that gonna do to them its just like lettin them free thats what i dont get about the Khmer Rouge trials.

  • so should the US leaders that funded pol pot.

  • This is why I hate the Far Left. At least the Far Right are honest about their agenda.

  • you call secret death camps honest?

  • I said, the far left lie about their true intentions. With the far right, at least you know they hate you and they admit it. Not so with the reds and pinkos.

  • but the death camps in nazi germany were a secret.

  • What about the Serbs and the Neo Nazi street thugs in Russia? As evil as they are, at least they give away their views.

  • what a joke trial. soooo..ah...five people are on trial for the murder of millions of cambodian>? how is that possible. i understand the rest were "just following orders:" but does that make them free of punishment. just goes to show you what happens when the current ruller is a former rhmer rouge member.

  • lol wtf... "To be honest I don't care.." and "All I care about is selling my noodles"

  • well the Uhhmerikkkans dont care about the fact that tax dollars supported pol pot and the khmer rouge. lol

  • '...the full range of evidence available, and who concluded that executions have numbered at most in the thousands; that these were localized in areas of limited Khmer Rouge influence and unusual peasant discontent, where brutal revenge killings were aggravated by the threat of starvation resulting from the American destruction and killing.'

    N. Chomsky &Herman, "Distortions at Fourth Hand", 1977

  • right on brotha

  • The world does not know how deep the lies of the Khmer Rouge extend. The Prime Minister and most of the government in Cambodia were part of the murderous Khmer Rouge. They are corrupt and incompetent beyond compression. It's strange, most of the people who even know enough or care enough about these trials are the sons and daughters of the REAL victims of the Khmer Rouge. Sadly, justice will never be carried out. The nation of Cambodia is far too corrupt. And is Vietnam or Thailand on trial?

  • yes i would also like to now if the US officials and administrations are on trial for supporting these (and other) oppressive dictatorships?

  • It should be no mystery why the killing fields happened--just real people forcing Communism down peoples throats. Read Communism: A History by Richard Pipes.

  • richard pipes is lying piece of shit that only served to terrorize the uhhmerikkkan masses with bullshit propaganda. ;)

  • Justice will never prevail. This Duch monster will get 5 years to life in prison. He does not deserve life in prison, he should be tortured the same way the victims were. And imagine if he gets 5 years, that will just add insult to injury. About 16,000 tortured to death, and if he gets 5 years. The punishment is too light to fit the crime. This trial only came to be with the urging of the international community. The Cambodian government did not even care. Even delayed it. No justice.

  • I have been to S-21

    it was shockingly disgusting

    these criminals must pay

  • I hear you. That kid at 2:34 was so stupid saying that he didn't care. He should be damn thankful that he was born after the Khmer Rouge rule. You are absoloutly right. Justice must prevail against these violent apostates.

  • These are great words coming from an american. Out of all people on the world you are the last to call for justice. your country has been torturing and killing innocent people in guantanamo for years violating human rights and the Geneva conventions. I don't even have to mention the illegal invasion blitzkrieg of iraq.

  • Comment removed

  • the world over man.

  • Absolutely right, a callous thing for him to say, had he been there or at least seen his friends family be butchered in cold blood, he might have said differently. Certainly too, there's no justice at all, they are getting away scot free.

  • Is it true that Pol Pot is Hu Jintaos' brother?

  • yes I heard this also and it would not surprise me at all. Chinese government is not any better than Khmer Rouge.

  • The USA also supported Saddam and the Taliban.

  • It might sound funny, but USA still supports the Taliban.

You know what they first did when they came to Afghanistan? They took all these Al Kaida and Taliban dudes, put them into planes and flew them out to Pakistan!

That's how they won the war xD

  • lol my country was one of those that sponsored the Khmer rouge..

  • mine too, im uhhmerikkkan;)

  • I wish AJE would have gone into more details when they described Western and Cambodian justice. Do the Cambodians simply want to forget? It seems so as there has been little effort to bring anyone to justice for the past 30 years.

  • Finally some small token of justice for Cambodian families. Try and execute them all. The animals!

  • @Gina2NYC you are an idiot

  • @Gina2NYC USA is the animal
