they're too hard to compare, bullet and trivium are equal in my opinion. trivium has alot better guitar solos and some really good riffs, but the thing about bullet is they have more of a deeper sound than trivium. Either way, their bullet and trivium are both the fucking shit.

To Be Honest, i perfer Trivium. and my reasons are because:

#1, some of Triviums songs have a powerfull meaning, for example Dying in your arms explains that being with someone can be an addiction, like heroin. you think you can live without it, but you're gradually dying inside and out. Break free

#2, they fascinated me when i first heard them, i thought they were in there 30s, but there in there 20s. young and awesome.

#3, trivium is one of my inspirations besides slipknot and metalica.

No, he's right, if you want to get technical. They're both metalcore, which is a fusion genre and therefore not wholly metal. Trivium is probably a lot closer to actual metal (they did release one semi-thrash album in The Crusade) but BFMV is far closer to post-hardcore bands like Funeral For A Friend than any metal.

Also, I have to agree on them both being rather awful.

ahhh trivium is technically the better band as all their songs take more skill to play, their solos are amazing and more diverse than bullets. also trivium have outstanding lyrics and have a great vocabulary and have what i think a better imagination for righting songs. i managed to learn bfmv's Scream Aim Fire in a day but it takes me atleast a week to get to grips with a trivium song. i still think BFMV are great and i am looking forward to their new album.

bfmv isnt really metal either, and trivium didnt really become metal until the crusade; though theyre better now.

Trivium by a hair. I got into both of them at the same time. Trivium wth Pull Harder On Demand, and Bullet with 4 Words via NFL Madden. I like Trivium better because they have a classicy metal sound, while Bullet has their own sound, which I also like.

I think trivium has been vocals between heafy, corey, and paolo but bullets r good its just matt tuck doesnt scream much and more and i dont really like jays scream. Padge has a sick scream though, so he should do more screaming live.

Guitars i also give to trivium because their guitar work really changes from album to album which i like..

Drums is a close one ... travis i think might be a little faster but moose is more rhythmic imo..

I prefer Trivium to Bullet for My Valentine. I never really got into Bullet, they got some good stuff but I never really got into them, all respect to them because they're talented. I like Heafy's vocal style and Trivium's song writing style more. Shogun was just complete gold. That's just my opinion.
