perosnally i think that because with his others band such as bungle, tomawhawk, fantomas, peeping tom he experimented with his voice alot and it developed a bit so he sings with a different style than the angel dust period.

will you guy's givethe Jon bashing a rest, he's not a fill in he's been their guitar player technically for the past 15 years he joined in 1996. and did their last album, Unfortuanately the band began to grow tired of each other in 1998 (Mike, Mike and Roddy) so they split up. Jon did work on Album of the year and Learned every single one of their songs to perfection over 1 year.

First of all, FNM songs are vocally demanding, if you ever tried singing you would know. Second of all like someone said anyone who tours as much as he does gets tired of singing all the time or his ADD kicks in so he starts fucking around.

True fans actually enjoy the fact he does this because if you wanted to hear the songs in it's original format you can always listen to the CD.

Lastly, Mike Patton and the band don't really need to prove anything to anyone.
