It is a comedy. The juxtaposition of what is happening in the course of the story and its various sub-plots against the melodic nuance of various scenes, including the quartet, is what makes it funny. The movie version drained nearly all the humor out of it.
The chair I made didn't have a motor, and it was for this reason. Also what makes the scene in the show funny is the quick dump of the dead customers. But yours is still good..
Sound effects are going to play over it so you dont hear the motor, and unless you in a black box theatre it wont be that loud, and like i said in comment before, the hydraulic pump I install in the final version wont be this loud
This one is for a one act version of the musical turned into a play, the real one i am going to make for the musical will have a different flow of motion or will have a hydraulic pump on it, and for the people who dont like it. i would love to see your chair :)
