The symbolic implications of this event are frightening.

The Pope no longer rules like a Pope but like a democratic president. John Paul II condemned unconsecrated hands touching the sacred species (communion in the hand) in Inaestimabile Donum and in Dominicae Cenae... did the Bishops listen? No!

Today's Church hierarchy is eerily similar to the Noble Anarchy in Poland... and what a cruel coincidence that a Pole was the most prominent Pope during this terrible post-conciliar collegiality.

@Overbrough It is in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington. The pope donated it to show his appreciation of the American Church. This gesture is not binding on future popes. The current or any future pope may have a coronation and wear one of the twenty-two remaining tiaras if he chooses.

an absurdity. after all, is not the church determines the wealth of people, only Freemasonry, and affluent families. a tiara is a symbol of papal power directly from god. I do not know who told him to do it
