  • looks like your brewing another back injury, you had a ton of pressure on your lower especially when you bent your back when lifting it up. You probably injured your back doing squats in the first place. If you want to learn how to make your back better msg me. Your channel says eating and fitness, this is not a good example for people to follow

  • @danskizaman It's a belt, and it's to help our backs/core. When you get to heavier weights it starts to get taxing on your back... feels like it might snap/get hurt so we wear the belts to help our core/back stay straight.

  • Nice Lift! And yes, I'm with nineclock87, his form was good. The only criticism I would deliver pertains to your balance. Your heels lifted off the ground a tad bit. I do the same thing every once in a while. It just comes from your height. The taller you are the more difficult, and potentially more dangerous it can be to squat and deadlift.

  • I'm 14 and go to my schools weight room often. Freshmen in highschool and I squatted 460 =\

    Idk if I'm just really strong in the legs or everyone else is just kinda weak. I'm hoping to get around 550 by the end of the school year, and I'm about half way through. Some thumbs would be cool, it'd be awesome for Pete to see this.

    there's something called wightlifting which is done by man, who like to strenghten their muslces, and there is something called fuckin around in the gym, which consists of curls, bench, curls and curls. that's what you do.

    also, if you wanna build some muslce, you need to train for strenght at some point cause otherwise there won't be enough stress on your muscles to give them further impusle to grow.

    pls understand that different people lift for different reasons, some like the raw strengh training, some like bodybuilding and some like improving their health.

  • @TheFreshbum If you know how to properly bail and the weight isn't TOO too heavy yet, you don't really need a spotter. Peter's pretty experienced with powerlifting so there was little to no chance of him getting injured. Maybe I'll get him to post a video of us doing safe bails??

  • @crossfitmac it's relatively heavy. Compared to his strength. Lets say I squat as much as I can for one time. As soon as it is more than say 130lb (imagine a skinny and weak guy) you could hurt yourself if you can't go up anymore.

    This is not a workout, it's an attempt to set a new personal record for pete. I'm just saying if I wanna know how heavy i can go I want to have a spotter because whatever I squat is gonna be very heavy in relation to my strength.

  • @TheFreshbum Well yea, you wouldn't want to try getting up at that point because you would injure yourself for sure; that's the point of the bail . If you bail, you're basically dropping to your knees and letting the bar drop behind you. And yes, it's a strength-based workout, but it just boils down to how comfortable you are and at what point you feel you need a spotter. I've squatted upwards of 240 and never needed a spotter and if I couldn't stand up with it I'd just bail behind
