Fitton is the coolest cave I have been in. What parts did you get to on your trip in? The furtherest back I have made it was the Millipede going through the New Maze. A guy that I work with did a large portion of the mapping of that area so it was easy for him to navigate it.
This area is from the helectite room. which is the furthest I've been. I seen a lot of the cave but I still have a lot to see. I go every year in Jan. but I getting older so it always harder.
Well, if you can find someone that knows the new maze and you have one more rough trip in you, it is worth the time to see the Millipede. The "new maze" is very hard to find your way through. You can still get there by going on rope over Jergan's Leap but it is a lot of work hauling a rope in that far. I think the roundhouse room is roughly 10,000 ft into the cave. Jergans leap is maybe another 300-400 feet and then down a 85 degree slope (hence the rope) that is about 100 feet down.
Nice photos, Fitton is a great cave, hopefully WNS won't keep it closed too long...
