@zboi778 Read the description. The first of the 5 cars in the convoy had passed but you can hear his siren fading out at the beginning of the video as he progressed north up Bishopsgate.
@FrapsYou No it would not be bombs cos the trucks would have been in army green and black and there were no army Jeeps or trucks there so it was probs just Mi5 stuff !?!?!?! :).
They are Bank of England trucks which bring down used, damaged and mutilated notes from their Leeds facility. CoLP escort it from Leeds, and can often be seen around the location in Leeds (and on google street view). There used to be a similar facility in Bristol but that is no more.
@bevatc seen these guys before heading out of leeds city centre, they always seem to head south for the M1( neville st > great wilson st > A653 > M1) and they always get bottlenecked down by the train station lights and get stuck for about 5 mins, never understood why they dont head east instead and jump on the A58 straight down to the M621(J2), couple of miles longer but you get perfect traffic flow : \
@eveningniteshade oh please, if they were that bothered they would never stick to the same route, never at the same times, and wouldnt be using marked cars...
I've been told by City Police Officers I know that these vehicles carry bank note printing plates & coin dyes, they are basically bank vaults on wheels, hence the 7.5 ton trucks and not vans, only one of them apparantly carries the plates at one given time. I am also told the police escorting them are armed & authorised to shoot to kill if the vehicles are attacked by would be assailants. You gotta be pretty stupid to try that though I would imagine.
I count 4 not 5?

Look for LS1 1HT (Park Place on street view).

Awesome video, AFAIK these are from the Royal Mint presumably carrying old bank notes, not 100% sure though.
