  • Beautiful car. let it warm up tho...

  • @Mustang4lyfe91 Thanks, I did tho the second time. I only did the cold revs for the purpose of this video.

  • Badass Bro! What type of Intake do you have on there? What namebrand is it?

  • @CHRISTIANMINDAMIX Neuspeed P-flo short ram intake

  • @bunkermonkey88 What website did you buy it from? And the TIP?

  • @CHRISTIANMINDAMIX I mainly use ecstuning and namotorsports

  • i thought mk4's went from 99.5 to 2004?

  • @pooperdooper89 nope they went to 2005 man, but the GLI specifically went from 2004.5-2005

  • @pooperdooper89 yeah bro i have an 05 gli, in all actuality its labeled as 2004.5 through VW but in usspec its 05

  • is this straight pipe from the turbo back?

  • @bj328860 not a full straight pipe, it has a magnaflow muffler. No cat and no resonator.

  • @bunkermonkey88 42dd?

  • @JoshM0326 The Exhaust is max PSI. I believe they closed down

  • @bunkermonkey88 Nice. Sounds excellent.

  • @JoshM0326 Thank you!

  • Best place to a quality vw, GLI or not, vwvortex.com ...

  • oh alright thanks for ur help man

  • @xXBiiZaR np, I found mine on cars.com but another good site is autotrader

  • im buying one jan-feb of 2012, is it possible to find one with lowish milage?

  • @xXBiiZaR Yea you will be able to still find GLI's with around 40k but it will be hard to find.

  • @bunkermonkey88 what about like around 60-70k?

  • @xXBiiZaR yea you are more likely to find ones with that type of mileage, I was saying that the lowest mileage would be probably around 40K and up.

  • hey, im looking to buy a gli how are they in the snow?

  • @myamericanpie They are pretty good in the snow, but it really all depends on what type of tires you have.

  • i need a gli

  • dont get rid of the sliver trim wtf thats one of the things that makes the gli nice

  • @mytube6913 but the mk4 04-05. all had chrome trim..

  • lagoon blue is the nicest gli color

  • Is it me or this GLI is sexy as hell ! :)

  • love the car, but you gotta get rid of the silver trimming :P

  • @kimochiman black trimming would look sick((:

  • @iitzSniPeZzz. hahaha that's exactly what im thinking!!!

  • @kimochiman The silver is actually the 'stock trim' it comes like that from the factory. I kno that black can look nice but I like the way the silver looks.

  • @kimochiman where do you get the black belt trimming?

  • @kimochiman where do you get the black belt trimming?

  • @kimochiman

where do you get the black trimming?

  • one question bro, i just bought myself an 007 forge DV for my jetta 1.8t, but i just heard how ur DV sounds in this video, sounds awsome!! what did you do to get that DV sound? did you do any mods??

  • @davidhdz34 the DV is what makes the sound, you dont have to do any mods to it.

  • Was there a drastic difference with the feel of your shifts after you installed the R32 Shifter & the 42DD Bushings? Did you install them at the same time?

  • @VWKrazed333 Yes I installed them at the same time so felt a huge difference. The shifts are much more crisp and there is not as much slop/play in the shifter and you can tell the throw is shorter

  • SMIC, as in Side mount intecooler?. Sorry for the noob questions. Also Is that the Neuspeed P-FLO Short Ram Intake? also does that exhaust retain a Euro Sound or make it Ricey? And one last Thing how's the Diverter Valve, sound good? or just cause BOV's arn't meant for the GLi's?

  • @99statsever Yes side mound intercooler. yes neuspeed. This exhaust is emits the best sound I have ever heard compared to any other system, but the company who made my exhaust shut down. This exhaust is very similar to 42DD exhaust system which is still on the market. As you can hear in the video It has a nice throaty rumble during idle and acceleration and when you punch the gas it sounds amazing, doesn't sound ricer at all. DV sounds loud and BOV isn't meant for these cars.

  • @99statsever the end of the exhauts its 3'' ?

  • @psp216 4"

  • nice bro i love the sound i got a blue lagoon gli 2004 i got a Ghl downpipe and milltek cat back exhaust and im trying to get a louder exhaust cuze milltek is just a quiet exhaust...

i got a giac x flash chip and i got a a damn CEL i see you dont go a cel is it beacause of the apr chip it eliminates the cel due to exhaust.. do you know of any ideas how to turn my Cel off without buying expecive ass apr chip

  • @19CcCc95 Thanks bra, is your GHL DP catted, and is your Milltek resonated? What sizes are they? First of all how do you know the exhaust is the reason the CEL is on, did you get it read with a Vagcom? If you did not get it read you will want to make sure you know the reason it is on for.

  • @19CcCc95 PART 2: IF it does in fact deal with the exhaust flow. If your DP does not have a CAT then your problem is an easy solve, you will just need an 02 sensor spacer, which tricks the computer into thinking the proper amount of 02 is flowing through. Even though the problem is corrected the CEL will still remain on, and you must have it erased with a vagcom. Most of the time if you know a or go to a shop they can do it free of charge, or you can buy one for as cheap as $50

  • @19CcCc95 PART 3: But if your DP does have a CAT I think I had your exact same problem when I had a CAT. I'm pretty sure it threw a CEL when I hit redline when higher than usual levels of o2 are flowing through the exhaust. So this could be ur case. In this situation you can just get the code erased and hope it does not come back on when or if you hit redline. Or you can buy a o2 spacer even though you have a CAT just to not throw the code. hope this all helps

  • @bunkermonkey88 its a 3 inch downpipe and i dont have a cat and millek is 2.5 ich non resonated and i scanned it with a cheap wallmart obd2 reader and it said exhaust flow is too lean or some shit like that and people at h20 and waterfest told me its cuze of the exhaust.... i seen those spacers on BFI and 42 DD sites which one you think is better and also do you think i should get two spacers or just one????

  • @19CcCc95 I would go with 42DD spacer that's the one I have and its good quality. You cant use 2 of them, 1 is sufficient.

  • does it drone? how bad?

    how loud is it overall

  • @marek129 There is really minimal to no drone. When you cruise on the highway its slightly noticeable. Overall the setup I have is going to be on the louder end of all setups available.
