In 2006 Bush lost control of both Houses of Congress to the Democratic Party. Note that the 2006 election ushered into Congress 70 former affiliates of the Communist Party USA--some of the most radical, Marxist and anti-American politicians America has ever seen. These people then did everything they could to force Marxism on Americans. With the majority of the Congress, they could override Bush and take his control of the economy away--and did. That is what happened to our economy.

@hom859 He didn't have to, because they gave him the Iraq Resolution. It authorized military action against Iraq. Look it up for more info.

@hom859 How are they contradicting themselves? You need to look up the definition of contradiction. Whatever Bush did is completely irrelevant because Bush is no longer the president. Obama is. That's how simple it is. Calling somebody on what they did is not a contradiction just because you don't mention somebody else who may have did the same thing. If you call a shoplifter a shoplifer, without naming every other person who ever shoplifted, are you contradicting yourself?

@ThePatriot31183 They are contradicting themselves. The blame game that republicans throw at Obama and say he destroys the constitution and the economy and everything thing else. Its very contradicting when now all of sudden, the republicans want to point the finger at Obama and say that its his policies that are doing all of this. What? Try pointing the finger at Bush 9 years ago. Thats when this mess started. Thats when the economy and tax cuts for the rich started to undermine our economy.
