If music is all about sound then what is the point of playing instruments when you can just make every sound on a computer? Skill shows a musicians dedication to music and shows passion and this music to me really lacks passion as good as it sounds

I don't like dubstep, and I'm a KoRn fan, but I have an open mind and happen to like this song. Unlike most KoRn fans. A concert isn't a concert, if it's just some guy at a desk. Might be a bad example, but SlipKnot concerts show passion and skill. Everyon'es playing their instrument masterfully while entertaining.

What tires me is that Korn could have done this just a bonus-cd or something of that kind, with remixes from old songs plus a few new ones, and at the same time, release a goddamn'good old-school album. When Head left them, they sought help with Atticus Ross and tried something more 'electro-goth', just because in 2005, that was in fashion

Yeah, and that's odd! It does sound like Korn...of course, John's vocals and Fieldy's bass are extremely recognizable... I think it's the 'electronic' gizmo that takes my fun out of the song. I like the simple, heavy guitar-riff on the verses, and John's melodies are catchy. I don't know. I'll have to wait for the whole record and give it a listen...it may turn out to be a good album, after all. "Untouchables" is an aswesome album, and a lotta people turned it down due to "Alone, I break"...

Ever since LIP, Korn as always experimented with different sounds on their albums. And thats better than other musicians that do the same old boring shit one album after the other. I LOVE the fact that Korn aren't afraid to try something new. They are men who simply love to make real music. People need to stop bitching about how Korn's new music sounds, and instead just focus on the lyrics. This song is heavy, and kickass.
The whole dubstep album wouldn't even be around hadn't it been for Korsun dubstep. Check the interview where Korn learns from Korsun about dubstep still back in 2010
I see nothing wrong with Korn and Skrillex making a few songs together. Associated acts are a good way to attract new fans while making the old ones happy.
A Lot of people think this is trash, and they should stay in their genre. well, to be honest, i think this kind of combination are absolutly do-able, and they should make more of these insane good songs/remixes. i'm a huge fan of metal, and i'm a hunge fan of drum 'n bass. Yeah I agree, Korn are, primarily all about the things you said but electronic music is becoming more and more popular so more and more people are digging it. I don't know if you know much about Pendulum but they are a prime example of all this, expect they did it the other way round and adapted a more alt. sound.

I actually dig the new sound, just don't think they should call it "Korn", you see? Like Munky is doing on his own "Fear and The Nervous System" project, or even Johathan with SFA. Of course, it's always great listening to new material coming out, but my expectations were very high after "Korn - III"...at first, I thought like this was a remix-cd with some new songs tweaked by other Djs or sum'like that, but after I read it's a real album...even though they put 'experimental' on it, I'm still disappointed. Just a matter of more thinking...creating a side-project, do it full-steam, then lay low and head back to Korn. I still love their music..

@The9thCell Oh right okay I actually get what you mean. But don't you reckon the new stuff still rings true to the 'Korn' sound? There are still the wicked vocals, the bass, heavy guitars, and it's still moshable too (grateful for this if nothing else, ha!), it just has a dubstep/electronic little tweak, but you can still tell it's Korn once you hear the vocals.

Yeah, and that's odd! It does sound like Korn...of course, John's vocals and Fieldy's bass are extremely recognizable... I think it's the 'electronic' gizmo that takes my fun out of the song. I like the simple, heavy guitar-riff on the verses, and John's melodies are catchy. I don't know. I'll have to wait for the whole record and give it a listen...it may turn out to be a good album, after all. "Untouchables" is an aswesome album, and a lotta people turned it down due to "Alone, I break"...

Ever since LIP, Korn as always experimented with different sounds on their albums. And thats better than other musicians that do the same old boring shit one album after the other. I LOVE the fact that Korn aren't afraid to try something new. They are men who simply love to make real music. People need to stop bitching about how Korn's new music sounds, and instead just focus on the lyrics. This song is heavy, and kickass.

@kornboy3 I don't think that's true dude, cuz korn didn't "lost" their sound. they added something with it. and yeah limp bizkit is just my all time favorite band.. but i know what you mean with linkin park. meteora and hybrid theory were great albums, but after that...i wonder what the hell happend with linkin park. and limp bizkit just made the comeback that couldn't be better. but no, i think metal/drum 'n bass can be really good. if they just have a good DJ like SKRILLEX.

@sonam434 i agree...but people said the same when K:III released..you have people saying "we want the old sound back" ..but even SYOTOS and untitled had great music on them.as for LP..i will say they still make GOOD music and that the lyrics have improved..but music wise..they declined, not just casue they went the lighter route..same as staind did..but seems more simplistic and less creative then they use to be with their first two..even reanimation
