  • 3:34 where did you find this shot? I never saw that in the movie?

  • Yikes! Early photos show them kind of presentable, but later ones like they were possessed...bad. You just can't get good help even in 1932!

  • y de casualidad algunas de las dos tuvieron hijos ...no la e visto bien esta pelicula pero quien era lea y quien era cristine por fabor diganme gracias

  • what song is this?

  • BLAH!! Enough said. nasty bitches.

  • murdering dykes wish they would have killed my step dad not some innocent bitch's

my father laughs at pain my mothers a sick fuck i want them to die............why do the evil pigs live

  • @DarkHunterVTMR

Maybe you should get some help kid. Like therapy. lets go step by step

    1. Justifying murder toward people you know (Or anyone for that matter)

    2. Shows parricidal thoughts (Somehow made this about your parents)

    3. Verbal attacks on sexuality (Possibly due to your own homosexual thoughts)

    4. Obvious vying for attention through aimed phrases (Evil pigs line)

    5. Embellished image of people (wicked mother and father feels no pain)

    Seriously...

  • great song and them two mad cows lol well scary but facinating

  • I love the song you choise. so sad and haunting.

  • crazy bitches

  • The female vocalist for Steeleye Span is/was fantastic....a beautiful unique voice......i love it.

  • Beautiful and haunting video about one of the most haunting and tragic (and strangely compelling) murder cases of the 20th century.

  • I just finished watching sister my sister it was incredible and the two actresses were brilliant as Christine and Lea.

  • mentally unstable maybe .....sick of slaving for the upper class definatly.

  • loverly song...... two crazy woman though!

  • Right..............

  • very fine job on this video the music is perfect for the subject matter.

  • This is a very good clip, danke :)

  • thx for postig this!

  • what?????? stupid! god what kind of idiots do they let on this site.

  • i'm sure you are prob. jerking off right now.stupid ass.

  • I'm sorry, cynthiacher, but you obviously have no CLUE whatsoever about the complexities of mental illness and the details of this compelling, sad, fascinating case. Are you so one dimensional and narrow-minded about people in general? I know a lot about Christine Papin, and I'll tell you one thing- she was a million times braver than you and she had a horrifically difficult life. She couldn'h help having mental illness, and sasly she lost her long struggle with it.....

  • Oh, but I do. And although the Papin sisters were no doubt treated shabbily because they were menials (it's not like they were the only ones who were treated that way) the fact remains that they committed one of the most unprovoked, gruesome murders in history. Their employers may not have been especially nice to them, but that was no motive to gouge out their eyes, crush their skulls and cut them to shreds with knives. The Papin sisters deserve NO "tribute". They were monstrous!

  • you're an idiot.

  • You're sick. Admiring two murderers...you're a sick fucker.

  • Papin murder = act of class struggle. The system makes you ill, sick in the head; that's a proven fact. The Papin sisters liberated themselves by killing the fuckers who kept them down. If only more people had such courage, eh?

    May they rest in peace.

  • It doesn't take "courage" to murder someone. Your gleeful support of murder as a "liberating" force indicates that you are very, very mentally ill.

  • I don't support murder. However, these two people were perfectly justified in what they did; thus, I do not consider it murder. Mentally ill? Ha, this whole society is a mental asylum. So I guess I'm in the right place.

  • If you think what the Papin sisters did was "justified" then you certainly do condone murder.

  • Papin siters were good people, living in a bad society. Do you support exploitation? Huh? Subordination and servility to power just because it's power? They killed because they had no other choice - we have a choice between armed struggle and slavery.

  • I'm not in favor of murder as a means of protesting exploitation. Look where it got the Papin sisters. And I don't think they murdered in order to strike a blow for the oppressed masses. They were just two profoundly fucked up girls.

  • I'm not disputing that.

  • Again, you have no idea what you are talking about. Are you a ventriloquist's dummy?

  • What, opposed to them still being alive? I wish people like you would fuck off.

  • so right good comment

  • The Papin sisters were pretty darn cool, in my opinion.

  • Murderers aren't "cool". Why would you think they are?

  • Liberal media.

  • Incidentally, what made you think Sid Vicious was cool? Eh? :)

  • I never said he was. I do feel compassion for him though; he wasn't a bad guy, just misguided and immature. He tried to live up to the image created for him and it killed him. Poor Sid...his MOTHER bought him the heroin that killed him! And for the record, I don't believe he killed Nancy Spungen. I think a drug dealer probably did it, or one of their other unsavory acquaintances.

  • yes good comment ....

  • "Pretty darn cool"? What fatuity drove you to post that? Idiot.

  • Not mentally ill but mentally stagnant.

  • You don't know what you are talking about. You are merely mimicking what others have said. This was no class struggle--the surrealists gave the case that hype and it has never died down. "Courage", sheesh! Think before you type.

  • It doesn't take "bravery" to murder your employer. It takes savagery. And plenty of people have had worse lives than Christine Papin and NOT committed murder. It's the old "abuse excuse" again, which is a load of bullshit.

  • What is so wrong to defend yourself from being abused? I don't believe in violence. But I'm pretty much sure that it took great amount of emotions that led them to what they did. If you're being treated like a mutt, how would you feel?

  • I think they snapped because of mental illness, not because of being particularly horribly mistreated. They were servants; being a servant was certainly no fun and they were being exploited by their employers but they weren't being beaten or starved or physically abused in any way. I think they lashed out with violence due to a mental breakdown, not specifically to protest their lot in life as servants.

  • You are quite right. In fact, they had it relatively good as far as servants go. The Lancelin's were respectful and courteous to the sisters after their falling out with their mother. The idea of a class struggle is really wearing thin. I'd say people need to redirect their interests to the girl's relationship with their mother. Just for the record, the sisters were described as being 'haughty'. They were proud of the hard work they did. Lancelin's were just in the wrong place at wrong time...

  • How reliable were reports about the? about their employers? class difference has been an enormous source of personal tragedy in England.

  • in England, France, anywhere.

  • Yes, thank you for adding that logical fallacy.

  • I don't disagree with the idea that the Papin sisters might have had mental illnesses. What kind of mental illnes -that we wouldn't know as they were never diagnosed. But the thing is there is a high probability that there is something that provoked them to go berserk. Honestly, if you're working 14hours a day, with only half day a week of rest - that would make anyone go nuts. And btw it is over the line to call them monstrous. Psychological problem is an illness. They should've been treated.

  • No matter what, it is a shame there was no mental health care for them. Their lives were ultimate ruined. Other lives ended, also.

We can also learn about how to treat people who work for us, irregardless.

  • Could it have been a combination of factors-- mental illness/the intensity of their relationship/working 14 hour days with 3 hrs off per week.

Also, in the movie, the employer was verbally abusive and spat on them--but this could have been fiction.

  • In the movie "Sister, My Sister" the employers of the girls were awful. When the daughter and mother come in and find the house in disarray they blow up at the girls and tell them they're going to be out on the street. Christine says they'll go to another house and the mother scoffs at the notion; she also spits at them and calls them "scum sisters!" In "Murderous Maids" nothing like that happens; Christine just goes bonkers and Lea follows her lead. I thought both movies were pretty good.

  • Yes, I saw the first movie. The mother ridiculed their sexuality.

Now that you have mentioned it, I will look at "Murderous Maids."

    Thanks.

  • All that means is that you do believe in violence, including murder.

  • I don't know how you got that from my answer. But you see, I'm just trying to be more understanding of the human complexities. Not trying to be defensive here, but understanding cannot be equated with belief in violence -- no matter how you look at it logically.

  • I get spammed all the time. It's incredible how many looneys are out there.

  • 4.54 mins in - Liam Gallager

  • LOL!

  • when i look at the original photos I am shocked to see that they are older than i had first believed they were from watching the movie "sister my sister"

  • actually - im confused between what images were the original and film versions. meh my bad

  • The original photos scare me!!! ;-{ Aren't they scary??

  • WTH!! IM A PAPIN!!! this is so shocking!! i may be their distant relative omg!!!

  • @pronetocrash2 I doubt it. Cristine stayed in jail and Lea changed her name.

  • They were sisters, and they murdered the family that they worked for as maids. Their behavior toward eachother, at least after the murder took place, had suggested that they were also lovers.

Anyway, it's a beautiful audio/video tribute to two women that I have very mixed feelings about. Thanks PlushHoney!

  • In later photos they kind of look like the Gallagher brothers from Oasis..

  • ROFLMAO!

  • xenasociopath,if u go on ebay and u put in sister my sister dvd,it comes up all these other dvds about the papins sisters!!!with other actresses staring in them!!!xxx

  • so...they were lovers???

  • Well, they were found naked in bed together...take that as you will...

  • Okay someone help me,

I saw Sister my Sister (throb and drool)

but what are the other versions are there?

and more importantly are they dubbed/subbed in eng? (for I am a dense one language person...sad face.)

  • I know nothing of the Papin sisters, but this song is lovely ; poignant lyrics with a beautiful melody, and fine guitar playing from Martin carthy.

  • I would have found this clip very interesting, except that song hurt my ears.

  • I don't wear perfume. I take a daily bath and wash with soap only. Men go crazy with my natural odour, but that's all they can do: to go crazy. I laugh at them inside and go strolling with my love.

  • tey didnt set out n did wat tey wanted too but wat ws made of them by others... a gud tribute to them.. loved watchin it..

  • I feel so sorry for them. I saw this movie from 94 at the morning and now I'm totally obsessed with them. I wish I could turn back time so they didn't went different ways and didn't loosed their relationship, as sisters or lovers... Nice video by the way. :)

  • what movie, please tell me I wanna know more of papin sisters

  • How many versions of this story are they going to film?

  • The more, the better. ;)

  • J.Chr!!That murder scene just put me off my crisps. I just read about them- poor mad f*ckers-I wonder if the victims provoked them or if christine's schizophrenia made her snap.Thanks.

  • Whats the name of this song??

  • "Lovely on the water" by "Steeleye Span"

  • thx so much!

  • who ar ethe sisters what did they do?

  • They were maids and they brutally murdered their mistress and her daughter. The two sisters were also involved in a lesbian relationship! O_O

  • It seems their mistresses caught the sisters in the act. Only that would explain such a devastating reaction. Read writer Paulette Houdyer's interview at pagesperso-orange dot fr/1626/interviewpapin dot htm.

  • i think the sisters are hot.......tehehehe

  • lol, I couldn't agree more, although I'm sure that their "unique charms" escape most people, I wonder why? ;-)You obviously have good taste, by the way!

  • fuck yea we do!!! They are extremely hot.....

  • Not as hot as Jeff though! lol

  • Oh of course!!!

  • No you fucking ugly cunt I'm here to stay XD

  • They way they murdered the mother and daughter was so sick, almost demented art, like 'Ichi, The Killer.'

  • Strange, haunting video. Had to google the sisters, but weird story, once I knew it!

  • Another beautiful video from you, PlushHoney!

  • Thank you, LogosX87.... Glad that you like the sisters and my video!!! :-)

  • Beautiful, beautiful video...very emotional, poignant song that goes well with the story~~~the melody of that song is just so special. Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks, ToothyMaid!!!
