Best solo ever. Shredders suck, and melodic guitarists (not shredders, and Ritchie Blackmore) bow down to this guy. And now he's rocking the hell out of heaven (that sentence is also a crap joke).
So talented, and so passionate. I sincerely hope that future generations of guitarists find and recognize Gary Moore, and carry on his passion and intensity for the craft. Died way too soon. God rest his soul.
HOPE YOU CAN BACK THAT LAST EMALE UP ( TRACTORS I AM GOING FIND YOU AND KILL YOU . WELL MY KIDS HAVE JUST READ THAT AND ARE UPSET . IS THAT HOW YOU GET YOUR KICKS @gibson492 UPSETING KIDS . WELL THE POLICE WILL BE BANGING ON YOUR DOOR . YOU CANT SEND EMAILS LIKE THAT AND GET AWAY WITH IT
To the Beck and Moore debaters here man I love Jeff Beck but absolutely love Gary also and think he is about the most underrated guitarist ever!!! I seen the Guitar Shop/In Step tour and it was unreal (Stevie being my favorite musician ever) but I would also have loved to see Stevie and Gary tour together, that would have been the most aggressive concert of all time! R.I.P. Gary!!!
Bob Daisly on Bass. Could you imagine being that guy during the span of '79 thru '84 playing with Blackmore, Rhodes, and Moore. Not too shabby. Rip Gary.
I remember being amazed at how much Gary spit when he sang, lol! It was my first ever concert!
I don't like how he insulted fans of his rock albums. I have loads of Gary's recordings from Lizzy, Colleseum II and beyond but I'm not a fan of his blues stuff. He still sounds like the same rock player to me - but what an amazing rock player!
I've seen both live (Moore admittedly under duress from a former girlfriend....possibly why the relationship ended rather messily) and there is no comparison; in terms of finesse, power, control, sheer class and above all mind blowing imagination, Beck is worlds apart; Hendrixs two note intro to Purple Haze is lifted from Over under Sideways Down and he certainly used Roger' as a blue print for the direction he was to move in.

I first heard this song, on the radio, when I was in High School the solo and feel of
the song blew me away...I became a big fan after buying the album and later found
out I already had heard him before on the Thin Lizzy stuff they played on the radio.
Gary was a master( passionate musician) of the rock/blues genre...even some jazz stuff I've seen him play.
on youtube.

Moore is not fit to re-string Jeff Beck's guitar.

@clean3 With all due respect to Jeff Beck, Gary rocks harder than a row boat in a tornado.

Probably one of the 10 best solos of the eighties. Or even of all time. A masterpiece. There's nothing else to say about it.
