A while ago I was trying to feed coins into a vending machine, but it was jammed. I managed to pry out the coins that were jammed in, and to my surprise, they weren't typical coins at all; they were silver coins from the United Arab Emirates. Jackpot.

I wonder if you would be better off to break that coin out of the holder and send it back to be re-graded raw, the grading company may be more apt to come up with that higher grade if they don't have to admit they were wrong before :)

I check out this Southern coin store online, the gold coins look nice, but the morgan dollars I'd pass on.

I live in Birmingham Al and have bought from Ethan at Southern Coin several times now. The web site is a bit outdated but they do take orders over the phone. Mark is right about the credit cards, they will add a fee but I cant blame them for this. Ethan is very knowledgable, and if he doesnt have it he can get it. Other than ebay this is where I get all my bullion. Ive spent about 15k with Ethan and his staff now and Ive been happy with every purchase.

Mark, I have found old coins under tiles in very old houses, where I live the 1930's coins are these days worth heaps..

I assume thy used coins to set levels of the tiles, expensive method..!

In a house of that time, look over it carefully, there is an old superstition, that a gold coin in the wood work keeps evil sprits at bay. lots of old house's have a gold coin in it somewhere, mostly in the base boards. Good Luck!!!
