@SPMNDK89 I would have a bit more qualms about driving a Ferrari 458 Italia in real life than in a video game, because this is a $600k car only a handful of people will ever be able to buy and drive. While in a video game - in the case of GT5 or FM3, in a video game that touts itself as, and is realistic, I could crash it all I want and have fun regardless.
And if I was someday given the chance to drive it? I'd refuse. I'd be scared, not excited to drive a 562 HP car that reaches 180+ mph.

Sure I'd rather play a game with great gameplay and crap graphics, than vice versa...but lets not forget that they are called "video" games after all. And as you said, without graphical upgrades (such as polygons), many of these peoples favorite games would have been impossible. The graphics come before gameplay.

Forza 3 is fun and overall a more consistent experience. GT5 is a half-assed racing sim with low-res shadows and for the most part terrible car models. I expected a LOT more from Polyphony after such a long wait.

GT5 is realistic as hell and certain people has different opinions about their game but GT5 stands out because why would Polyphony Digital lie. They are hardworking and dedicated to the car world and always will create a way for more people will love cars but some games try to avoid love for cars just for money and Because of GT3 a-spec I bought a Lan Evo 6 and head out to the track but some people try to make up that Forza is realistic but happens to never even drove that car in real life.

Trailers make the Game look good, Forza Trailers look Great but in gameplay not so much but Gran Turismo trailers looks identical ti the actual gameplay itself.

@superbad123abc I agree physics in GT5 are sublime, but they are limited, after five years, PD have made very stupid design design choices that limit the rest of the game, no mech damage, poor AI, no classifications, poor A-spec mode, poor tuning options, fake repair costs. it ruins the "simulation".
And ofcourse a 15 year brand with a bigger fanbase sold more, but it is still a worser game. PD wanted more sales than happy gamers, that its why they embargoed reviews until release
@supadapag1 The car will look different and act behave different...physics are not only about how fast a car goes and how much G affects it, but also in something as discreet in suspension, the cars reaction to a hard brake or jerky driving, tire wear, the relation between the tire and the ground it is being raced upon. GT feels great...coming from and kart and Turismo driver...
@supadapag1 The full damage model isn't available until you get to level 40. I saw a person as level 40 crash and it was pretty sick his car was fucked. It is a simulator, not only are the car physics awesome but all the courses were redone to add the new road surfaces, the bumps. Its closer to real life than Forza. The AI is pretty smart, i saw one crash and he waited till all the traffic past before going back on to the road. How does poor a-spec mode ruin the simulation. makes no sense.

And btw A few days Ago Kazunori was interviewed and he said full damage is at Level 40. WOooo. At level 30 you get a chance to Race against to X1. I can't wait. This game is sick. GT5 is the greatest. I just unlocked the Mazada Furai and raced around the Nurburgring at Night time. The car is such a beast, Its so beautiful. I Love this simulator.

@supadapag1 Yeah, anywhere without restrictions you can race it with the X1. I'm gonna beat most of the Endurance series with the X1. Doing 200 laps around a track makes you respect the track, I don't even think Forza has 4 hour races 9 hour races or 24 hour races.
@supadapag1 GT5 has bumps in the road which make it more real, gives you the sensation of actually being there. Forza doesn't have that. You can complain about the graphics, no customization, AI, and Damage. But what it comes down to is Car Physics and does it actually feel like a real race track. Many people already agree with GT5. Now you can keep complaining but Gran Turismo is and always will be the Title holder of King.

Anyone who can't accept that Gran Turismo is still King after all these years is ignorant and can't accept the truth. You know the reviewers don't matter at all. It's the racers reviews are the ones that count, and the majority of them are with Gran Turismo 5. I've had some pretty sweet races already. I raced in Forza and it was a little too easy on hard it's not really a racing simulator. And Kazunori who is a racer car driver agrees. You can complain all you want but he knows more than you.

@supadapag1 That does a tree have to do with anything when the cars and more importantly the car looks amazing? Yes i will! I won't stare at the trees while playing! The dirt tracks look amazing, night races and weather effects are awsome...thought they could have put more effort in the cars windshield wippers...and the model of a car is one thing, and the texture is another. You can pretty much see the changes when you modify a car suspension in the menu and then get in the track and play.
@thehornypuppy I never denied the physics, they are limited through poor design choices though. rally/snow physics are just plain arcade, rain/night/day is limited to certain tracks, but like I said, poor design choices ruin the experience, GT is for driving, Forza is for racing

@supadapag1 Kazunori would have added more but they reached the limit of how much can be put into a game, so things were removed. As for driving and not racing. Once you get to the Extreme Series and Endurance series its very hard to win a race. I had a race around the Nurburgring 24h and I was beside the Citroen GT for most of it. The racing can get pretty intense. The "Like the Wind" series is fuckin hard. You have the race your heart out to win. So no more driving instead of racing shit.

People say that GT5's physics are bad, but their minds have been polluted by so many inaccurate games, when someone (in this case, PD) presents them with the real thing, they remain incredulous. Proof of this is in the lap times. Racing Suzuka Circuit IRL versus GT, laps remain within .0035 seconds of the actual time.
Ask any F1, GT, NASCAR, ANY racer what they use to train. 9 out of 10 will say 'Gran Turismo'.

@kango1170 I'm a drifter I use forza gt5's drifting feels like nfs pro street no feeling at all gt5 has great graphics the whole weatherchanging is cool but the premium cars suck I like there low class selction but the grachics for them are out of ps2 as well as there physics I use the same car in forza as I do in real life and the physics are great I can use real drifting techniques and with gt5 you need the gt25/27 just to have a clutch and that sucks
GT5 v.s Forza 3 is an excellent way to show how far technology has come. DVD v.s Blu Ray. And the differences are easily visible. Forza's cars are have detail, but not as much of an escence in depth as the cars in GT5. For instance, you may have the interior, or grill down to exact specs on a car, but it may look more boxy, or more like an animation than cars look like in GT5. Polyphony Digital works on each car for 6 months. Look in depth, and reality and sim cars are hard to tell apart.
GT5 is better sound wise. Every car in the game was recorded personly so if you don't like the sound than you don't like the sound of the actual car. And for you forza fans that don't believe me there are plenty of videos on it on gran-turismo tv. Oh wait you don't have that or know what it is. Don't send me hate mail forza is not a bad game.
Both are grrreat games for racing sim fans. Saying GT5 is better is equally stupid with saying Forza 3 is better. Imho GT has better graphics but Forza 3 has better sound. About gameplay and handling it's how you are used to drive. THere is no way a forza fan will like GT handling more and vice versa. @scotty688 i believe Need For Speed Shift had better sounding than both Forza 3 and...gt5 PROLOGUE. What I saw in the new gameplay videos for GT5, you can easily tell that they are at the top of their game for physics, sound, visuals, etc.
@NEOexSOLDIER even the GT5 time trial demo had very improved sound. Personally, I think a racing game can only go as far as its physics can take it and in that way, GT games will always be the better title. Plus GT5 will have 5 times the content a forza game wil ever have. I love Forza but it's limited to 10gb by the DVD format. While making GT5, they ran out of room using the 50gb bluray format. Bottom line is, GT will always be 5 times deeper on PS3 because of those limitations

Forza 3's Ferrari 458 Italia looks more Rosso Ferrari colour. And its roar in Forza looks more real. But GT5 also made a great job.
I'm proud Forza Motorsport 3 selected over 30 Ferrari examples, because I'm Italian and Italian do it better.

@SPMNDK89 I would have a bit more qualms about driving a Ferrari 458 Italia in real life than in a video game, because this is a $600k car only a handful of people will ever be able to buy and drive. While in a video game - in the case of GT5 or FM3, in a video game that touts itself as, and is realistic, I could crash it all I want and have fun regardless.
And if I was someday given the chance to drive it? I'd refuse. I'd be scared, not excited to drive a 562 HP car that reaches 180+ mph.

@Abelspz Don't let those "graphics don't matter" fools fool you. They do matter, just as much as if not more than gameplay... Sure I'd rather play a game with great gameplay and crap graphics, than vice versa...but lets not forget that they are called "video" games after all. And as you said, without graphical upgrades (such as polygons), many of these peoples favorite games would have been impossible. The graphics come before gameplay.

Forza 3 is fun and overall a more consistent experience. GT5 is a half-assed racing sim with low-res shadows and for the most part terrible car models. I expected a LOT more from Polyphony after such a long wait.

GT5 is realistic as hell and certain people has different opinions about their game but GT5 stands out because why would Polyphony Digital lie. They are hardworking and dedicated to the car world and always will create a way for more people will love cars but some games try to avoid love for cars just for money and Because of GT3 a-spec I bought a Lan Evo 6 and head out to the track but some people try to make up that Forza is realistic but happens to never even drove that car in real life.

@superbad123abc I agree physics in GT5 are sublime, but they are limited, after five years, PD have made very stupid design design choices that limit the rest of the game, no mech damage, poor AI, no classifications, poor A-spec mode, poor tuning options, fake repair costs. it ruins the "simulation".
And ofcourse a 15 year brand with a bigger fanbase sold more, but it is still a worser game. PD wanted more sales than happy gamers, that its why they embargoed reviews until release

@supadapag1 The car will look different and act behave different...physics are not only about how fast a car goes and how much G affects it, but also in something as discreet in suspension, the cars reaction to a hard brake or jerky driving, tire wear, the relation between the tire and the ground it is being raced upon. GT feels great...coming from and kart and Turismo driver...

@supadapag1 The full damage model isn't available until you get to level 40. I saw a person as level 40 crash and it was pretty sick his car was fucked. It is a simulator, not only are the car physics awesome but all the courses were redone to add the new road surfaces, the bumps. Its closer to real life than Forza. The AI is pretty smart, i saw one crash and he waited till all the traffic past before going back on to the road. How does poor a-spec mode ruin the simulation. makes no sense.

And btw A few days Ago Kazunori was interviewed and he said full damage is at Level 40. WOooo. At level 30 you get a chance to Race against to X1. I can't wait. This game is sick. GT5 is the greatest. I just unlocked the Mazada Furai and raced around the Nurburgring at Night time. The car is such a beast, Its so beautiful. I Love this simulator.

You can complain about the graphics, no customization, AI, and Damage. But what it comes down to is Car Physics and does it actually feel like a real race track. Many people already agree with GT5. Anyone who can't accept that Gran Turismo is still King after all these years is ignorant and can't accept the truth. You know the reviewers don't matter at all. It's the racers reviews are the ones that count, and the majority of them are with Gran Turismo 5. I've had some pretty sweet races already. I raced in Forza and it was a little too easy on hard it's not really a racing simulator. And Kazunori who is a racer car driver agrees. You can complain all you want but he knows more than you.

@supadapag1 That does a tree have to do with anything when the cars and more importantly the car looks amazing? Yes i will! I won't stare at the trees while playing! The dirt tracks look amazing, night races and weather effects are awsome...thought they could have put more effort in the cars windshield wippers...and the model of a car is one thing, and the texture is another. You can pretty much see the changes when you modify a car suspension in the menu and then get in the track and play.

@thehornypuppy I never denied the physics, they are limited through poor design choices though. rally/snow physics are just plain arcade, rain/night/day is limited to certain tracks, but like I said, poor design choices ruin the experience, GT is for driving, Forza is for racing

@supadapag1 Kazunori would have added more but they reached the limit of how much can be put into a game, so things were removed. As for driving and not racing. Once you get to the Extreme Series and Endurance series its very hard to win a race. I had a race around the Nurburgring 24h and I was beside the Citroen GT for most of it. The racing can get pretty intense. The "Like the Wind" series is fuckin hard. You have the race your heart out to win. So no more driving instead of racing shit.

AND WHY DO YOU EVEN LOOK AT THE TREE, THIS IS A GAME ABOUT CARS AND NOT TREE SO ANY SECONDARY THING CAN BE LESS REALISTIC, IF YOU LOOK AT ALL THE GAMES OUT THERE TREE ARE NOT 3D BUT RATHER 2D FLAT PLANE. i defend GT5 is because of the new physic and the experience driving a car. and yes the 20% of the cars, cars are not easy to model, especially the interior. it took a team of 3 , 3-5 months to model one car.

@dacarfreak2000 yeah man i was starting to wondering how the hell did the forza cars going thru the corners so smoothly without FF back from the tires. you seemed like a pro in term of racing. have you driven an evo 9 before? ive been wanting to get one. i just want to hear it from the actual driver.

@41ACE Well here there are lots of 2010 Lancer EX which is the same car used in making the Lan Evo X but Lan evo 9 not that much there are some but they are just passing through but I can say that the Evo 6 has better handling to me than Evo 7.

1 more very bad misconception XBox losers are having is GT5 did not take 5 years. It took less than 3 years. Why? Because they built on their Prologue. Did FM3 did not built on FM2? I don't think so. Thus, FM3 took 2 years and GT5 took 3 years, but latter has much more cars and trakcs plus NASCAR and WRC and F1. Thus FM3 is nothing but a money sucker of their fans

People say that GT5's physics are bad, but their minds have been polluted by so many inaccurate games, when someone (in this case, PD) presents them with the real thing, they remain incredulous. Proof of this is in the lap times. Racing Suzuka Circuit IRL versus GT, laps remain within .0035 seconds of the actual time.
Ask any F1, GT, NASCAR, ANY racer what they use to train. 9 out of 10 will say 'Gran Turismo'.

@kango1170 I'm a drifter I use forza gt5's drifting feels like nfs pro street no feeling at all gt5 has great graphics the whole weatherchanging is cool but the premium cars suck I like there low class selction but the grachics for them are out of ps2 as well as there physics I use the same car in forza as I do in real life and the physics are great I can use real drifting techniques and with gt5 you need the gt25/27 just to have a clutch and that sucks

I played nfs, forza, and grid but they don't even come close to GT4. The other game are to arcade-ish. Forza is better out of the rest but not GT5.

I like GT5 for the same reason I like Japanese cars - they stand the test of time.
Which one of you still play Forza 1? I still fire up the original GT on my psp. I still play GT4 on my ps3.

GT5 v.s Forza 3 is an excellent way to show how far technology has come. DVD v.s Blu Ray. And the differences are easily visible. Forza's cars are have detail, but not as much of an escence in depth as the cars in GT5. For instance, you may have the interior, or grill down to exact specs on a car, but it may look more boxy, or more like an animation than cars look like in GT5. Polyphony Digital works on each car for 6 months. Look in depth, and reality and sim cars are hard to tell apart.

GT5 is better sound wise. Every car in the game was recorded personly so if you don't like the sound than you don't like the sound of the actual car. And for you forza fans that don't believe me there are plenty of videos on it on gran-turismo tv. Oh wait you don't have that or know what it is. Don't send me hate mail forza is not a bad game.

Both are grrreat games for racing sim fans. Saying GT5 is better is equally stupid with saying Forza 3 is better. Imho GT has better graphics but Forza 3 has better sound. About gameplay and handling it's how you are used to drive. THere is no way a forza fan will like GT handling more and vice versa. Anyway having said that GT5 is coming later so technically it HAS to be better. And in my opinion most ppl that say GT is better are just ppl who always played GT and never tried anything else

I don't think the miniscule graphic difference between the games really makes me want either of them more because they look about the same. I think it's the content. 1,000 cars, rally car racing, nascar, formula 1, drifting, 40 tracks and variations of those tracks.

@scotty688 i believe Need For Speed Shift had better sounding than both Forza 3 and...gt5 PROLOGUE. What I saw in the new gameplay videos for GT5, you can easily tell that they are at the top of their game for physics, sound, visuals, etc.

@NEOexSOLDIER even the GT5 time trial demo had very improved sound. Personally, I think a racing game can only go as far as its physics can take it and in that way, GT games will always be the better title. Plus GT5 will have 5 times the content a forza game wil ever have. I love Forza but it's limited to 10gb by the DVD format. While making GT5, they ran out of room using the 50gb bluray format. Bottom line is, GT will always be 5 times deeper on PS3 because of those limitations

@Foxiol I don't even have GT5 Prologue, well any GT for that fact. I had GT4, but sold it because there were many things that pissed me off in that game. I'll admit GT5 will be good when it finally comes out, but untill then I still think GT5 Prologue is stupid. By the way, I am not a kid... you're the one with the stupid 'XD' face.
