I watched this video twice, to check out the audience, to see what the other comments had to add about the audience?.... yes, in Germany and the audience was doped up with sedatives, opiates...."are they still alive and breathing", Hello is anybody home?

During this period all the audiences on this show acted stoically. It didn't matter what band was playing. They got good responses during this show and this show launched them to stardom in Germany where Plastic Letters charted even higher than in the UK. All I can say is thank God for German TV. Otherwise we would have virtually no live footage of them.

This is a TV show and not a concert and the audience was probably told to sit still to keep a free view for the cameras. It is the same in the famous "Musikladen" Ramones show (Eins-zwe- drei-vier - Take it Joey)

Great to see this, it's actually quite impressive and the band look as cool as ever. Debbie is her usual impossibly beautiful self and radiates her aura like no one before or since. Jimmy Destri in good form as well, although it is so hard to take your eyes off Debbie. Clem Burke is/was considered the showman of the band, but almost passes unnoticed behind the dazzling Debbie Harry. Thanks for putting this on!
