Do giants act the same as miniatures? We have a miniature schnauzer and my neighbors have two miniatures. They all have very different personalities, ours was the runt and she is very laid back but was a demon dog when she was a puppy! Our neighbors are crazy nut cases the youngest squeals like a pig, doesnt bark... very odd mix!

Is there any specific reason to cutting their tails? Honestly I think schnauzers look better with docked tails, but if it had a long tail, I wouldn't want to trim it or anything.

Before we got Moose, I wasn't sure but now I wish all mine had tails. Moose went to Kevin Cullen today for his first trim. Kevin owns Giant Schnauzer, Jafrak Phillipe Olivier who won Best In Show over all the other breeds at Crufts 2008. Moose came from Kevin. He now looks absolutely great with his Giant Schnauzer show cut.
