Yes, a lot of their songs start off with a bassline, but that's a part of their style, but Anthony writes lyrics about a lot of things. In the 80's it was all about sex, drugs and rock n roll. Then it became this very serious band. Lately they've been writing a lot about religion, politics and feelings. Just listen to Monarchy of roses or Wet sand. Oh, by the way, there was no guitar in this song.
