Secondly...FWD does lose to a RWD in a race...Given same chassis, same weight, same horsepower. It's just mechanical grip advantage. In history, FWD was invented to save costs in manufacturing, not for motorsports haha.

And yes, the RWD will always have the advantage pushing the car, as opposed to pulling it. Toyota have made some fast cars, things like the MR2 and Supra obviously but even things like here in the UK the Corolla Tsport, gets 190bhp from a little 1.8 N/A motor and they have a supercharged version running around 235 I think, pretty decent for a little 1.8 I'd say. I didn't go on this video expecting what I saw by the way haha.

@barbiemenace Simple, they don't break down fuel consumption is reasonable and you can not compare a high rev small engine with a high torque big block muscle car. It's like comparing apple's with banana's. Beside's in europe gas prices and taxes prevents the most to buy a cool challenger or mustang because of the weight of the car is linked to the amount of roadtax we have to pay. So light cars with powerful (and less torque) engines is the way to go over here.

@AznMC08 cheaper isn't better. FWD cars are just not as good as AWD and RWD im my opinion. The understeer and torquesteer really sucks. It just takes away from the enjoyment of driving!
@thisishellagay yeah I'm with you on that one. but since a lot of people just want to have a car to drive from point A to point B, they don't really care about it as long as they are comfortable with their ride. What I mostly see is people with a daily drive and a second car for the fun of driving (cleaner, more powerful, better looking, etc) But in some situations, the FWD is more suitable compared to the RWD. Like on ice/slipery roads. But AWD is the ultimate solution of course..
@AznMC08 I see what you mean, but many can't afford or don't want to deal with two cars. AWD is best haha. You can get an AWD WRX that does a great job of racing and of a daily driver. :P It is best to find what suits your environment, driving style, and how much practicality you need.

why why WHY do all ricer owners think their cars are hot shit??? please help me understand. their fwd vehicles (yes even the one with the steeringwheel on the right) are built as family vehicles. the only reason they make body kits and exhaust fittings for these cars is cause they know that after fast and the furious came out, all the little kiddies think they have a race car so now they must spend all their part time checks at autozone or ebay to spend money on these parts...

@barbiemenace Simple, they don't break down fuel consumption is reasonable and you can not compare a high rev small engine with a high torque big block muscle car. It's like comparing apple's with banana's. Beside's in europe gas prices and taxes prevents the most to buy a cool challenger or mustang because of the weight of the car is linked to the amount of roadtax we have to pay. So light cars with powerful (and less torque) engines is the way to go over here.

Check up the Honda civic Type R (SiR) or the Ford Focus ST, some front wheel drive cars are brilliant. and saying that fwd cars are made for family vehicles? Know your stuffs before saying rubbish. The reason why FWD cars were introduced and were guetting popular is because it's a lot cheaper to make since there's less parts to install in the vehicle and the composents are a lot easier to locate.

@AznMC08 cheaper isn't better. FWD cars are just not as good as AWD and RWD im my opinion. The understeer and torquesteer really sucks. It just takes away from the enjoyment of driving!

@thisishellagay yeah I'm with you on that one. but since a lot of people just want to have a car to drive from point A to point B, they don't really care about it as long as they are comfortable with their ride. What I mostly see is people with a daily drive and a second car for the fun of driving (cleaner, more powerful, better looking, etc) But in some situations, the FWD is more suitable compared to the RWD. Like on ice/slipery roads. But AWD is the ultimate solution of course..

@AznMC08 I see what you mean, but many can't afford or don't want to deal with two cars. AWD is best haha. You can get an AWD WRX that does a great job of racing and of a daily driver. :P It is best to find what suits your environment, driving style, and how much practicality you need.
