Hi. Can anyone advise me on which is the best filter available for an oscar tank. I have one tiger oscar around 6 inch an a plec same size. My tank is 5 foot x 2 foot x 3 high. My current internal filter just aint up to it.
i bought an oscar from an aquatic shop... it was a rescue fish which was neglected. So i have it in my 55gallon tank.. but when it was in the petshop tank it was really strikingly red. But since i've had him he's more orange than red. Completely orange infact. How come he's changed to orange? and if it's possible how can i make him red again. Is it food, water, or light? he's swimming around fine and eating. infact he seems happier in my tank than the small pet shop one..
@paulmb15 he seems redder now, i havent tried the shrimp yet tho. maybe it's just the stress of changing tank and getting used to different water/temperature parameters? but i'll give him shrimp soon anyway.
Nice oscars they grow so fast i got mine when they were 2inchs and it hasnt even been a year and they are about 7inchs and I only fed them cichlid sticks and sometimes feeders. What do you feed yours?
very very nice, do you still have them?
