  • A couple of questions. I have made several walkthroughs, but I was really impressed on some of the movement in your video. I feel getting this realism isn't as heard as the movement. What was your frames per sec? and how many frames was this entire video set at? Also what dimension are you usually rendering walkthroughs?

    Good work!

  • I'm curious about how long this took to render, and what hardware did you use to achieve that time. BTW, this might be the nicest, most detailed 100% Revit render yet. I prefer to use 3Ds for final rendering.

  • how can you create a slanted wall using the wall family command??

  • Hey I've been trying to learn from all these videos. If you get a chance check out my video! I'd love the feedback

  • Hey Grinheart, nice renderings! I am just wondering how long it took you to render that? Or you did that by sending it to a rendering farm? Thanks.

  • good work

  • i use revit 2009 ,how can render my project as much realistic as yours ,please help me and give me right answer, thanks

  • how long it took to make? Becouse I did a video with 500 flames and it took two days in render...

  • How to download your movie - revit walkthrough. could you send me for view. my company block youtube. thank you

  • how long do these walk-through take?

and what is the specs of your computer?

  • this is nice. i love it... awesome. the quality of the video is kinda poor. is there a reason?

  • thankss.. please can i know your effects that is adopted by you into your walkthrough... please..

  • Hey Grinheart your walktroughs are awsome! I give you much respect for it :) but i have a question: I am a user of Autdesk Revit 2010, and i can't seem to find mental ray for 2010, not even on the mentalray website, do you know if its allready integrated or where to find it? it would realy help me out :) Thank you

    bless

  • @Loesjen...... it's already "integrated" with Revit.

  • How dou you create Painting familly ? Thanks

  • @DalajLampa

Painting family? never heard of it... though you can apply them in your elements using the "paint bucket".

  • @Grinheart as you can see, my English is bad, by saying "Painting family", i thought of making model of painting (family), (picaso, dali, vincent etc) .))) the paintings :) ...then i remembered how. Once again, sorry for missleading question. Thanks

  • @Grinheart hey I noticed you have iMovie effects in the video which leads me to think you own a Mac, but there is no Revit for Mac (yet), are you running Revit on a Mac computer with windows installed? if yes does it work cool?

  • @thelworldmyworld Yes, this WT was edited in iMovie but modeled and made in Revit. You can run Revit in Mac via Desktop Parallel and the like but better yet by using Bootcamp.

  • awesome... i wish i can do it to... i am starting to study autocad2010 now... i think revit architecture is better than autocad...

  • @deepabbys92 I dont tthink you can compare them. AutoCAD is more directed to Civil Engineers and Revit is for Architects. Otherwise I dont see why Autodesk would make two versions of a same product

  • 12 days!?! crap. was this done with a home computer or a high spec one? and did you leave your computer on for 12 days straight??

  • This is exactly what i was looking for right now.

How do i get mental ray and how would i use it.?

Cant i use revit for rendering.?

  • mental ray engine came with revit 2009+. Yes, you can do rendering in Revit - that's what i used on this walkthrough.

  • @215810

Mental Ray engine comes with Revit 2008/9+.

  • NICE mental ray and visual house!!!!!!!!!!!

  • some came from Revit, others I made and some from Revit community.

  • Did you get these families from the Revit library or did you make them.

  • Thanks Jasnikamarudin!

  • Impressive visualization!

It'll toastmaster the owner before they earn their properties!

    Congratulations!

  • was this walkthrough done entirely within the Revit software? looks very nice

  • Yup... ALL revit. 12 days to complete the rendering with a medium screen resolution...this video was actually almost 4gb and was compressed to about 19mb for youtube to accept. Thanks.
