  • lawl I never noticed how low Dave sits to the ground.

  • 2:34 Dave is like: OMFG I'm in the same band with JPJ, THAT IS FUCKING HAPPINESS

  • Gran Turismo 5!

  • john looks happy

  • This is more what music should be like...these guys are just stoked to play with Jean Paul Jones and hes just as much stoked....its music its free lets play it and forget about all this bullshit!!!!

  • I just love Josh´s guitar sound!

  • I just Josh´s guitar sound.

  • John fucked up the jam with his shitty scale playing, had nothing to do with the groove of the song.

  • Dave Grohl does know how to rock a kit....dont get it twisted:}

  • All right this as good as it gets

  • The Toms, the Snares and the Cymbals of Dave's Drum kit dislikes this!

  • Dat high-hat usage

  • It seems the keyboard player on stage right's greatest influence is... The bass player on stage left! Imagine what it must be like to play a "Trampled Underfoot" keyboard line knowing the guy who played the original is on the same stage. Interstingly enough, the song also has a strong Cream vibe.

  • @TheDeev It's because the vocal line is similar to "Strange Brew" by Cream.

  • OMG!! Dave's faces LOL!

  • Dave has a talent by making weird faces while playing drums!

  • @finaldrumer pretty much every drummer does, have you seen keith moons?!!!

  • @hefellforthesoup I don't make much faces while playing, hahaha

  • it's got Zeppelin's vibe all over it, Trampled Under Foot. But I still fuckin love it!! \m/

  • Fuckin' A!!! Three Legends making beautiful music!! \m/

  • Live concert performance of my favorite song by them. Dave Grohl on drums, not sure who the singer is but love his sound, like classic rock & blues but modern era, LOVE them. :)

  • @gmj2012 singer is josh homme, also the singer for queens of the stone age

  • @londonirish96 Thanks, now I have another band to go explore :)

  • Amazing! I bought this cd! Love Led, love QOTSA, Love Mr. Grohl on the Drumms. This Vulture with three heads smells like teen spirit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahha Powerfull!!!! waiting for u in Brazil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • o man, the guitar in this song is SO FUCKING RAD!

  • Love the eye contact between Dave and Jonesy. Like two kids when they're on stage aha

  • The shit!!

  • I starting watching this video swearing not to make a comment about JPJ, but then I heard that bass solo, and...WOW!

  • JPJ breaking it down all funky like

  • led zeppelin + nirvana + queen of the stone age ....now i can die!!!!

  • Alain Johannes is a virtuoso. Eleven, his contributions to Desert Sessions, Queens, and Them Crooked Vultures, and now his solo album, "Spark".....I'm just saying, DUUUDE HAS SOUL

  • @pogchampion He's the guy on keyboard / rhythm guitar, right?

  • @Tarkess yup

  • Daves face at 4:12, priceless!

  • 3:55 drum rape-age

  • i bet john paul loves this song.. has a similar groove to zeppelin (led zeppelin II)

  • John Paul.. You rock BOY!!!

  • pause at 0:01

    COME HERE HORSIE HORSIE !!!!!!!!!

  • Biggest legends ever!

    Love the band!

  • 2:20 simplemente espectacular.

  • 2:20 simplemente espectacular.

  • the magic between the drummer and the bassist..irreplaceable

  • Does anyone happen to know what kind of pedal is Josh using here? I've always loved those kind of fuzzy but abrasive octavey tones. Reminds me of Hendrix and Corgans solo on Untitled.

  • sickest line up ever, jp jones, dave grohl, JOSH HOMME

  • 3:43-4:02 ... dave's face..

  • So disappointed at 1:15 when the funky bit starts on the keyboard :( I was so sure John was gonna hit a setting on a stomp box and play the funk out on his bass lol

  • you keep 3 legends in a band and you will get a epic fucking band

  • sometimes theres no better feeling then listening to them crooked vultures

  • they ARE FUCKING AWSOMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!MMMMMEEEEE

  • And Dave's still chewing gum?!

  • I also think it's awesome that you can tell that Josh is having a great time up there, playing with a musician he grew up listening to

  • Why is it all about JPJ? What about Josh and Dave? THEY ARE ALSO LEGENDS!

  • @FuschiaInferior

Seriously I was thinking the same thing about 20 seconds ago... and I mean Josh is a top 20 rock guitarist of all time, but the guy is honestly one of the best poet/lyricists since Jim Morrison.. noone ever talks about his writing skills.. to me its a toss up b/t him and Julian Casablancas as the best lyricist of the last decade... guess it kinda depends on personal taste.. I love both of em

  • Comment removed

  • @FuschiaInferior Look at the video! It's all about Josh and Dave! Look like the cameraman never heard about led zep and JPJ.

  • @FuschiaInferior I thought that too initially. Then I started playing bass and, after listening to this, and Warsaw live, and others, it clicked. In my opinion, in Them Crooked Vultures, Josh is a guitarist, Dave is a drummer, but JPJ is a musician.

  • @FuschiaInferior And Alain Johannes, no ? :)

  • An excellent musician!!!!!!

  • @FuschiaInferior Because if u ask Josh or Dave what they think of JPJ they would tell u he is a GOD amongst the living, what in fact he is!

  • @FuschiaInferior Yeah but may i remind you JPJ was in LED FUCKING ZEPPELIN!?! Are you aware of the holiness he brought to this band?! ALL HAIL THE GODS OF ROCK, LED ZEPPELIN!!!!!!

  • SIIIICK

  • Reminds me of the band Cream

  • Greatest super group since Cream.

  • no one besides chad smith of red hot chilli peppers can play nearly as hard or as fast as dave grohl \m/

  • @IOTM2011 Word.

  • Dave is the shit in this one like in ol good time of Nirvana,so is JPJ !

  • All this band needs is a tad more chemistry. Holy bawllsahks.

  • Damn I love this sound so much. SUCH FUNK!!!

  • I think if there ever was a super group.

... This would be it, it's so fucking raw and powerful.

... and seriously... John Paul Jones... Nuff said.

  • this is too much power and awsomness for one band !!!

  • show at the wiltern was amazing

  • you can feel the power of this great musicians on this songs, amazing

  • which manufacter that clavinet is?

  • How cool would it be to be the 2nd guitarist in this band? God how do I get that job?

  • It's been 2 years since the album came out, I've seen them live (in Vegas, where they seemed especially thrilled to be playing), and I STILL can't get over how awesome it is that Jones, Homme, and Grohl teamed up.

  • Fuck! Dave is so sweaty hahaha.

  • what guitar is josh using here? I WANTS IT.

  • @RockstarBurnzy It's a Maton BB1200 JH, his signature.

  • GROWN KIDS MUSIC

  • more bass, less back up vocals

  • 1:14 SAX-A-BOOM!

  • A combined backing vocal from JPJ and DV..I've never dreamed about it

  • I wish John Paul Jones was my dad!!!

  • dave cant believe he's actually playing with john paul jones, a man who was in a band that heavily influenced dave when he was young

  • Josh Homme's guitar sound is an orgasm

  • Terrible mix indeed. But the good part: Dave's eyes are telling us at 2:48 : "Omg im playing with the man wich played with John Bonham".

  • @sangah07 terrible mix? what do you mean? it sounds raw and awesome, no computers. its rock at its finest.raw dirty with steel balls attitude.

  • Geez, what a terrible mix.

  • @waaaters I found it to be really really good.

  • MASSIVE!

  • dave is a fuckin animal on the drum

  • i know the man is clean, but dave looks like he is flying high lol

  • Josh's guitar tone is awesome!

  • Fucking John Paul Jones yesssssss!!!!!

  • I absolutely love Dave on drums, what a champ!

  • Josh Homme is viciously awewome.

  • @TheFooProject Yeah okXD

  • press 1 repeatedly to see dave's epic expression

  • @TheFooProject Fat? Didn't notice that. Probably no one else did. Keep trollin;)

  • 666 people haven't evolved thumbs yet

  • You can see how much fun John Paul Jones has :)

  • Turn Jonesy up in the mix!

The above is not addressed to the uploader.... I know it's not your fault. I'm just pissed at the sound guy, that's all. Carry on.

  • Grohl's like a pig in shit

  • scumbag funk

  • Grohl really rocks the Mike Portnoy look nowadays, huh?

  • GODS

  • He was much more of a guitar god in Kyuss.

  • 3:45 - 4:05 *PREPARE YOU SELF FOR A MIND EXPLOSION*

  • fucking beyond epic

  • Not a fan of the band but watching the whole video was worth just for discovering that cool bass solo in the middle

  • anybody who can play the riffs this band has and sing at the same time is to be considered a Guitar God.

    WINNING.

  • FRESH POTSSSSSSS!!!!!

  • I've never heard someone play the bass that good with a pick

  • @yorisii nick oliveri?

  • Cameo By Hugh Manson There

  • Grohl's expressions..

  • I LOVE THEM !!!!!!!!!!

  • John Paul Jones is a fucking legend.

  • @JandJ007 THIS BAND IS A WHOLE FUCKING LEGEND :D!

  • @JandJ007 Josh Homme and Dave Grohl in a few years too

  • @jjthemadgenius Jonesy's played with the best improvisational rock band in history , arguably . Good as Grohl is I think he knows he'd get lost in a ten minute improv jam with a classically trained bass player like Jones.. He and Jones have a good rapport going , but not quite the near - telapathic understanding of each of others playing that existed in Led Zeppelin

  • Holy crap, Dave looks like he's having a fucking time of his life :D this is what you come to expect.. Awesome people enjoying what they do.

    <3

  • crap...that guitar solo goes against the laws of motion...took me forever to figure it out.

  • Oh my God, JPJ's bass solo .... a thing of fucking beauty

  • If the three of them weren't legends already, they are now. And Alain deserves way more credit, he's a boss.

  • josh's guitar sounds fking awesome in this show

  • Man its scary switching back and forth of the close ups of JPJ and Josh. JPJ is exactly how I imagine Josh will look when hes his age.

  • @subliminalstereo90 I am seriously agree with you, I tough that days ago

  • The crout is looking like its from the 90

  • this is much better than the version of the cd....so fucking good!!!!!!

  • love the octave effect on josh´s solos! great guitar work. this man has redefined guitar playing!

  • @SuperSajkoSimon

totally agree. in fact, his unique tone and unpredictable, super-expressive solos like the one in this song and a song for the dead remind me of hendrix. im not gonna say he's reached hendrix's level, but i think josh is a guitar god in his own right.

  • @jamthrash03 alot of the jamming on this record and some of QSA's remind me of Band of Gypsies era Hendrix

  • @jamthrash03 Jimi Hendrix definitely influenced josh, but if josh lived in jimi`s time, jimi wouldve been impressed with him. There are always variables like speed or how many notes per second or how cleanly you hit every note, but everyone has their strengths and Jimi wouldve been impressed with the way josh feels the music and his phrasing within his solos and great ideas. great comment my friend.

  • amazing :)

  • I want that on DVD !

Josh make a DVD please !

  • awesome!!

but what is dave doing with his mouth ??

    bass solo was perfect paul

josh is a god at the guitar ^^

  • @JohnDeNigris

    Chewing gum

    He is always doing it.

  • fuckin awsome !!!!!!wowowowowowow

  • The "You won't make it out" after the first bass solo is actually Dave giving up. Jones, you have to cut him some slack ... :P

  • this is much better than the studio version... *THUMBS UP*

  • ah ah ! le retour du king de la drumm

    oh yeah !

  • where are all the drunks and stoners at this show. man times' a changin.

  • @soweyesee I know man, music ain't celebrated in the same way

    ain't 92' anymore
