The dark eldar kabal "the wraithkind" came to there aid with terrible force and might. when asked why they helped the Wraithkind only said the petty attempts at necromancy the craftworld eldar used to save themselves amuse the wraithkind greatly.

But Dark eldar take only a special kind of payment fee for there services. SOULS&SLAVES!
i am currently a tau player but am seriously considering giving them up. i dont favour boring tau tactics of having to stand back and shoot at everything. i like hit and run tactics a lot, and each time i try with my vespid stingwings and devilfish they just get slaughtered. the dark eldar look like they are far more manouvrable and can still take a lot of shit too, as well as give it.

It's their hat. But Dark Eldar are not a very simple army. If you don't play intelligently, you will be slaughtered. If you master the Dark Eldar, however, then enjoy your never-ending string of artful victories.
@darkshredder95 No army is as fast or as maneuverable as the Dark Eldar. I just zoom around cover to cover until I see an opening then BAM raiders with Wyches and Incubi jumping out everywhere. They are super fast and hit like a rock to the face. However, their vehicles have cardboard armor and are filled with guys who will die from a stiff breeze. But if you use speed and tactics to your advantage you will watch with pride and joy as your drugged up space elves slaughter through everything.
@ATeddyKiller I've bought it and read trough it like a maniac. Which is not bad for someone just planning out his start in de 40k universe. Compared to the older codexes who I've read for comparisons, this one takes the cake in pure awesomeness. I know they're a hard race to master, but I just have to slice trough my enemies ranks like butter, and I suspect they'll do just peachy... ^^

The Horus Heresy is canon, Jean Luc Picard commanding the Enterprise is Canon. However there are many non-canon things out there, some can even be licensed fictional works quite often the owners/creators of the universe are the ones who define canon, licensed works are usually non-canon and fan made stuff is fanon.

@Teranex Maybe so, but Dark Eldar always avoid Necrons not because they are tough or difficult to engage (every race has difficulties battling Necrons, prticulary for the same reason, they don't die), but because they don't gain anything from them. No slaves, no suffering, no fun. Even so, it has been proven that Dark Eldar can harness souls from Necrons. They are, according to them, way decrepit. Useless souls, but souls anyway.
@bwarrior83 As far as i know Necros have no soul, prof for that is that in dark crusade in a cutsecene the chaos lord talks to a Necron and he suddenly concludes that "you have no soul". So in the game its more done out of balancing that dark Eldar can harvest soul essence from the Necros, like the kroot can eat the necron bodies and you can even see the blood while they are doing it lol.
@Teranex Yes, but in Soulstorm if you play Dark Eldar and destroy the Necrons, the epilogue says that the Necrons indeed have souls in their frames, but they were "feeble and sour, and could not be tortured before ripping". So yeah, damn Necrons, why don't you suffer, or at least try?? XD

@Teranex Maybe so, but Dark Eldar always avoid Necrons not because they are tough or difficult to engage (every race has difficulties battling Necrons, prticulary for the same reason, they don't die), but because they don't gain anything from them. No slaves, no suffering, no fun. Even so, it has been proven that Dark Eldar can harness souls from Necrons. They are, according to them, way decrepit. Useless souls, but souls anyway.

@bwarrior83 As far as i know Necros have no soul, prof for that is that in dark crusade in a cutsecene the chaos lord talks to a Necron and he suddenly concludes that "you have no soul". So in the game its more done out of balancing that dark Eldar can harvest soul essence from the Necros, like the kroot can eat the necron bodies and you can even see the blood while they are doing it lol.

@Teranex Yes, but in Soulstorm if you play Dark Eldar and destroy the Necrons, the epilogue says that the Necrons indeed have souls in their frames, but they were "feeble and sour, and could not be tortured before ripping". So yeah, damn Necrons, why don't you suffer, or at least try?? XD
