mrronniea, Thanks for posting such a top quality video. Roy Drusky has always been a favorite of mine for many years. He had that distinct, smooth voice - Jim Reeves style - that made his songs so enjoyable. It's just too bad that he never got the kind of recognition he really deserved. He indeed was one of the great country artists. Thanks again.
picked up a newspaper a couple years back and saw where roy had died in a nursing home not twenty minutes from where i live...shame how the industry forgets some of the greats
One of the smoothest voices in Country Music history!! They just don't make them like this anymore! Sure glad we have these special moments caught on tape and on recordings. Thanks for posting.
i met him around 1967 at one of his concerts.this is exactly the way he performed on stage.he never cracked a smile until you talked to him.then you found him to be a sweetheart.he called me hon, when we talked.
For geena6: I have yet to meet someone who really likes good music like this. I've never forgotten this song since I was a kid. If you're ever in the U. S. let me know. They still have some good country music in Texas.
Clark Ranger of KWKY Des Moines played this song frequently on his radio show in the 1970's.
