Alia, this is amazing!!! This is my favorite right now, it is soo delicious and sooo easy ti cook. I absolutely love you. please keep doing what you do!!! And I will be looking forward next legume recipe (I used to hate them... because I never really new how and what kind of spices add to them to make them tasty). Please teach me some more healthy options with legumes!!!
Hey Alia! I'm making Loubia right now for my boyfriend! He said "I have to eat something moroccan today!" It smells great for now ! Thx for the reciepie :)
Hi Alia: I love your videos. I want to make this and your cabbage salad. On both videos, you say to serve with bread. What kind of bread? Do you have a video on how to make the moroccan bread? Thanks so much.
you can either use moroccan bread (I have an old video on how to make it, I will probably have to produce a new video about it - you can just search in my youtube channel) or French baguette (that you can buy from the supermarket). cheers :-)
I have been searching for authentic Moroccan recipes and came across yours. I would like to thank you for the time you spend in creating these videos and I must say that your Moroccan Coconut truffles were so good that I will be using your other recipes as well in the coming weeks. Thank you and best wishes to you =)
There is nothing here that I don't like. Simple recipie with great spices. Love the music. Having been through Morrocco and tasted the foods this sounds wonderful.
Hi, in the spices section i did`nt understand the name of the powdered spice that goes with the crushed garlic, tomatoe paste, cumin, salt and pepper, can you please tell me which spice you used, thank you, your recipes are great,
today it was chilly outside- a perfect day for trying to make Loubia. It turned out great. Its a quickly made dish, about 30 minutes. After cooking I let it sit for 5 minutes for all the flavors to come together. We had it with Pita bread, but a baguette would be good, too.
yes - but If you are using canned beans, you dont have to worry about the technicality of heat, etc. because they are already cooked and they dont need too much cooking.
Thanks for another fine dish, Alia. My wife and I enjoyed this recipe because it was tasty, yet guilt-free (ie. light). I enjoyed making it because it was so quick and simple.
I modified the recipe the 2nd time I made it by adding some fresh lemon juice. I think it added extra flavor and we enjoyed the result. Has anyone else tried this?
One question: After 20 minutes of cooking, the onions were still al dente. Is this how it's supposed to be? Or should I saute them more?

Hi, i really need to have the speling of that gemeric powder. I try to find it , no one knows what it is. Can you please spell it so i can look for the right item? thank you very much.
no worries :-) there are many dishes I dont like also. I think you meant "cous cous" but I LOVED the way you called "cusie cusie" is the cutest thing I heard for a long time!
Salam Alia. I just discovered your channel and I am blessed right now to get the taste i left morocco with. I recall this (Loubia) is a national dish with lamb meat and harrissa. would you like to give quick instructions on how to cook the lamb (timming ...)
I am so glad you enjoyed the videos! for the lamb, these are the steps:
1- when you add the onions, add the lamb and let it cook for 5 minutes with the onions while stirring
2- then add all the other ingredients EXCEPT the beans if you are using canned beans (because the lamb will take time to cook, much longer than the beans). adjust the spices.
3- when the lamb is almost cooked then add the canned beans (or pre-boiled dry beans).
in iraq, we usually serve this dish with plain white rice and lamb or beef. cannellini beans are the perfect choice for this dish, great northern beans and navy beans are good too. great dish alia.
im sorry alia but no onions with this dish only garlic and also you forgot paprika! it a must,,,onions with lentils yes,,,thanks

I made this for diner last night and my whole family loved it. I didn't alter the recipe at all and I'm glad this is a meatless dish.
I did however use dry white beans and had to use a pressure cooker. Either way, it came out absolutely yummy.
Thank you Alia.
