  • Bro I 100% agree with everything that you said. Processed foods, sugars, and a lack of daily exercise will put weight on anyone, and it's vital for people to say educated about their diet and as get as active as possible. Simple things throughout the day like walking really do make a world of difference and it starts people on their path.

  • Definitely! Just think of anything u can possibly Do to work your body un the correct way. I changed my life not because I was over weight, but bcause ny eating habits and lack if exercise was bothering my international health. I made the decision to wrk out and eat better and it paid off soooo much. U will feel so much better internally and externally. Good luck! Just do it.

  • Obesity is a control issue. Don't eat everything that's offered. Learn some basic nutrition rules and stick to them. Nothing deep fried. Avoid sugar, salt, fat, and alcohol. Cut those items out of your diet and watch the pounds drop off - after you begin doing something physical that is. 40 minutes of aerobic exercise 3 X per week. Simple as fast walking. That's it. All you need to know about NOT being a fat cow in less than 500 characters.

  • On the bright side when this 2011 year began..Moved my treadmill into my house & I use it loads more. Then took-up drinking water regularly (I used to not drink enough), I always leave a big bottle in my rooms & take it with me. I took-up jogging as I got new jogging wear & I jog all the way out of town through the fuckin forest & fields. I eat fruit for desert instead of cake :-D

  • they feel that it is their own fault. All they have to do is stop putting certain foods in their mouth and be more active. As if these ideas had never crossed the obese person's mind! You will probably need the help of a nutritionist and/or dietician. Maybe get yourself a diabetic cookbook, even if you don't have diabetes. Sugar is the enemy! High fructose corn syrup and saturated fats are in nearly everything these days! I am pulling for you Lisa!

  • First of all Lisa's problem as CT5000 said is that you can't expect people to love you if you don't love yourself. But that can be hard and if weight is the issue then:

    1: Stop eating fast food PERIOD! Don't consume anything with a lot of sugar or fat.

    2: Get up and DO something to lose the weight! Detox works but exercise if far more important. Starving yourself I don't consider to be healthy as your body will just be missing out on nutrients and you might develop a defectiveness disorder

  • Visit your doctor for a complete physical evaluation. This must include a blood glucose test for diabetes. Also, get a referral to an endocrinologist for a complete metabolic evaluation. Diet may not be the only problem.

  • People become obese because they medicate themselves with food. There are deeper issues that I think she needs to work on before she focuses on the weight loss aspect. I recommend reading anything by Neale Donald Walsch. Those books changed my life completely and helped me realize how to love my Self. Most importantly it taught me that I was in control of ALL things in my life. You can't change what you don't acknowledge. Send me a message if you need support! You don't have to go it alone :) <3

  • another glass for the 2nd week & so on or when that hunger feeling can't beignore 3am in the morning instead of reaching for something unhealthy make a salad. Jog in place for a few minutes before you make the salad & a few minutes after. Like I said, you have to make a plan that works for you & that your sure your going to stick to. Just remember it's ok to fail the first time even the 5th time. Just do it for yourself & start over. I am! : )

  • size that every one wants you to be. For me my goal is to loose 1lb or 2 a week. When that hunger feeling kicks in drink some water and jog in place. I can go on & on but you would have to find something that works for you & move at your own pace until your pace get too easy for you than. For example making a goal saying I'm going to drink 8 8oz of water everyday for a week. when you accomplish that goal you will see that it's like nothing adding.....

  • damn about yourself no one will give a damn about you. Never rush anything. Take your time with your weight loss. Crash diets never work. Start off with a detox or fasting for a few days a week for a month. Schedule your meal. Drink 3 glasses of water before and after your meal. Eat & drink slowly. Get as much walking as possible. Don't beat yourself up when you fall off. Everyone goes through that just try to get yourself rolling again. Don't go for a weight goal or.....

I'm on my weight loss journey AGAIN so I know it's hard to stay focus & give up what you love & what your used to but you have to look at the bigger picture and try to take care of your outside as well as your inside. So you were also right that you have to love yourself first to want to take care of yourself so that you can take care of your body & health.   • I think she needs to learn to love herself at any size. Even though she is 100 lbs overweight she should take time out to pamper herself. Try a new hairdo, get a manicure and pedicure, or go shopping for a nice outfit. Even if it means going to a plus size women's clothing store, go the extra mile to look good. I am overweight, but I make sure I keep myself presentable, hair, make up etc. I get compliments all the time. If you look good you'll feel good. It's not just about your weight.

  • @kneenee71 I'm not saying that she shouldn't loose the weight, but, she should incorporate these things in the mean time. Just because a person is overweight doesn't mean she should let herself go either.

  • She thinks everyone is talking about her but it will mostly be paranoia. Of course there are always some nasty people who have nothing better to do but mock & make others feel like sh-t but she can't let those few bring her down. Surround yourself by good supportive people. You'll be surprised what that can do to your attitude, confidence & motivation. Also, depression is a dangerous illness. Seek medical and professional advice - you may need meds to help you get through it. GOOD LUCK!

  • Yo Creative! Listen-up plz..I've something real serious to say for real.

    Just over 2 weeks ago now (on the 5th) guy right here on Youtube who I used to watch his videos & was highly active on this particular website (uploaded videos frequently & regularly as he was passionate about v-bloging & interacting with folk on here) well..he died because of his diabetes. He was a big man. RIP

    We all felt real sad that week when we heard the news :-(

  • good advice and all... but i'm confused, she said she's 102 pounds? isn't that underweight? like me, 110 pounds... well it sounded like she needs to lose that many.. .could be 300. if she doesn't wanna walk or run outside because she's embarrassed to be seen, she can always get a treadmill and use it on a daily basis at home.

  • WOW! I agree with everything except the last part. Someone reached out to you for help and advice and you end the commentary by saying " You wrote to me and told me you haven't had a boyfriend since 1996-Well no wonder! You don't care about yourself!" I noticed above you suggested that anyone suffering from obesity and depression should seek medical help or get therapy. I think you should have started your commentary with that statement.

  • @BlackBNimble I agree. That was my first thought when he mentioned that she wrote about having suicidal thoughts. As a current Marriage and Family Therapy student, I find that depression and suicidal ideation are two extremely important issues to take note of and anyone dealing with it should actively seek professional help.

  • There's a way to deliver the truth to people without coming off sounding cold and/or simplistic. Most people who have "common sense" solutions to obesity for overweight people have never been overweight and may not understand all the dynamics of weight loss, especially when it involves losing a lot of weight. You don't know what lead this person to become overweight to begin with. How can you say she doesn't care about herself? If that were so would she have reached out for help?

  • I'm glad you are trying to help people, but on this one I feel you should have processed the information given to you a little more. When giving advice don't sugar coat the truth but deliver it with a little sensitivity.

  • I USED TO BE BIG BUT ME BEIN THE PERSON I AM, I HAVE THAT I DONT GIVE A FUCK ATTITUDE, SO I NEVER GAVE A FUCK WHAT OTHERS THOUGHT BOUT ME.   • I used to be obese. I know you've seen my videos. I went overboard at one point. I hated myself for being ugly and fat and I dieted and worked out like crazy. But I'm the kind of person that will never be 100% satisfied with my body.
