@Lach1234 i didnt research, i heard the commentator. plus 73 is garbage. his form is terrible. he made 3/3 shaq made 5/5 few times doesnt mean give it to him. plus they had good shooters around
@YashRamisetty 73% is above average. The only people that can say it's garbage are actual basketball players. If you shot 100 FTs, could you make 73 of them?
And besides, every NBA player has different forms, but the free throws still go in regardless.
@YashRamisetty I'm guessing you don't know anything about Tony Allen. They put him in because he plays really good defense down the stretch. He can hold his own against PGs, SGs, and SFs.
He just happened to get fouled, went to the free throw line and make the free throw.
@Lach1234 are you fuckin retarded man? theres a reason he yelled it out on tv. there was marc gasol he can shoot better than tony. tony is there for energy/hustle and defense. if u make him ur offense ur fucked. idk wat ur smokin but if you cant shoot 78+ ur not a good free throw shooter. commentator said that cuz there were better options instead of him.conley, randolph, gasol, plus rudy gay shouldnt have been inbounding.
@YashRamisetty Geez, calm down buddy. No need to get so anal about. Your 3rd, 4th and 5th sentences was basically what I wrote in my previous comment. I already know he's not good on offense. I already know he brings energy/hustle. Like I said earlier, -------->73% IS AVERAGE. <------
@Lach1234 but ur making no sense with ur first comment. ur saying why not give it to him hes a good shooter. look at this comment now. ur first said "Don't give it to Allen cause he's a good FT shooter?" now hes average? above 76 percent is avg.
@YashRamisetty By good I meant, he made a crucial FT down the stretch that could've decided the outcome of the game. And no, 80% and over is great. 70-79% is good/average.
But here you are, taking it way to serious and calling me retarded.
@YashRamisetty Well if you saw in the video, he got the ball inbounds and was ready to pass it to Gasol until Westbrook fouled him. He basically had no choice but to go to the line.. -_-
@Lach1234 well they passed it in with 2 secs. they have 5 secs to pass the ball.. pass it 2 conley. plus tony was tryna shoot it from there to get 3 free throws
@Lach1234 There's a lot of space between 80% and 94%. 65 players shot over 80% this year in the NBA. 80% is good. You can't start talking about great until at least 85%. And Dirk is still something beyond great.
@Lach1234 He's the greatest for his size. He's the only 7 footer in the top 50 all time in FT% (which cuts off almost exactly at 85% - there's that number again), and he's 14th. 87.7% career, 89.7% over the last six years, and 89.1 career postseason (including 93.5% over the last three postseasons). Staggering.
All of which has nothing to do with Tony Allen, but I didn't realize how historically good this guy is until this postseason.
@jesusthroughmary Yea, I'll go off topic to. Isn't Yao Ming also a great FT shooter for his size? He's about 83% for his career. It's a shame he's been plagued with injures.
@Lach1234 There aren't a lot of guys at his height, but he's probably the best shooter by a long way. He does a lot of things well for his size, and I agree that it's a shame. I would have liked to see him be a dominant player like it seemed he was destined to be.
That's messed up

@Lach1234 u missed the point of this video/commentator. HE SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN SHOOTING FTs. HES NOT THE BEST FT shooter option out of all.
