@4lime8 hi not sure about this one but he favours an open c tuning from 6th string c g c g c e eg caledonia with capo on 4th fret hope this helps love the guy a true legend
Thanks for uploading this lovely rendition of one of my favourite Dougie MacLean Songs. I just spent nine days at The Perthshire Amber Festival where we had wall to wall Dougie, but this simple solo version rings out more sincerely in some ways. Andy Hall, a fine Scottish Photographer, had an exhibition of his framed photos at Pitlochry Festival Hall and one lovely one was of Dougie with his Father and a verse from this song written beneath it.
no doubt, that is Dougie's foot tapping....have seen him many times and his feet are always tapping....can't wait to see him again in April...

These a great video's accept for the annoying person who thinks he's a metronome

@agingwithgrace I'm pretty sure the annoying metronome is Dougie himself.

@agingwithgrace that 'annoying metronome' is definitely Dougie himself - i've seen him live and he does tap his foot along to every song

I'm working on the song right now, and can verify that it is open C tuning (CGCGCE) capoed up four.
