  • That aside... The tone of this whole programme is very odd, it's not as though snow is rare in Scotland. There's snow every year, generally in every part of the country, yes there are some lovely shots here, but there's no need to make it sound like something rare.

  • iuyt

  • Was the 2009 cold spell over Britain and Ireland worse than the december 2010 cold spell? I'm not from the UK so didn't expiernce it, but I heard this past winter was one of the UK's longest lasting cold spells with 3 feet of snow in Edinburgh

  • @stevebloodymckenna i would say they where probably about the same length of time but where i live in scotland we definitley had more snowfall in 2010/11 winter and less in 2009/10 but both about as equally cold and long, just more snow in 2010 fell i think!!

  • Just awesome....

  • im soo jealous. in the four years i lived in glasgow, it only snowed once anywhere near me.

  • I loved it; I want to visit there one day. But, why do the British hate us Americans so much? We love mother England!

  • @baddogonline We don't hate you we just get annoyed when you try and dis us. not that you just did.

  • @baddogonline did you just say 'mother england'???? i;m gonna restrain myself and just say that statement is wrong.

  • @DjTokenMusic Yes, why? Many Americans think fondly of England. I know they have this internal struggle going on and call it the UK now, but to us, it's still England. My peeps came over about 160 years ago. Do the Aussies have a problem with England? Would you rather the French had claimed Australia instead of Cook?

  • @baddogonline welll you are reffering to england as 'mother' on a video about scotland. for the most part, a different country. It has its own govt, albeit superficially. the people have different attitudes. Im a scottish/aussie. which means that to me, scotland is and should be a country on its own. But the point is if you are refering to england and meaning the whole of the UK, THATS what i object to the most. Alot of americans make that mistake and it needs to be corrected.

  • @DjTokenMusic I thought that may be what you were refering too. My appologies. Since I'm obsessed with all things UK, I do know the difference. But, the reason we Americans call it England is because that's how it was referred to in our history books, movies, and popular culture. It's not meant to be disrespectful; it's just how we learned it... I also want to visit Aussieland one day; it looks like it's pretty cool down there. ;)

  • @baddogonline This is not England. WTF??!?!

  • @truefalse Ha! Did you read the whole conversation? BTW, didn't "Long Shanks" settle this years ago... ;)

  • @baddogonline Yeah Long Shanks claimed throne to Scotland then got his ass severely whooped and sent home, and Robert the Bruce, King of Scots claimed throne.

  • @truefalse And, didn't King James ascend to the throne of "England", unifying the Kingdom? I can keep going... :)

  • @baddogonline No, look up the 1707 Act of Union, it was a Scottish king who eventually took to the throne unifying the Kingdom. Scots monarch ruled England for years until an English general/colonel Cromwell rose up with followers and overthrew the monarchy, but it was later replaced with the German House of Hanover, a monarchy that would lead to the deportation of thousands of Highlanders to US, Canada, Australia & NZ.

  • @baddogonline When you say that US citizens will continue to refer to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as "England" that simply means that they will continue to be in error, as that is just not what the country is called. This is not some recent phenomenon brought about by seperatist rumblings, England ceased to exist as a sovereign state before the United States came into being, there is no Queen of England, English Parliament or English Army. England is not Britain.

  • @Injektilo7 I am a US citizen of (colonial) English, Scottish, and Ulster Scots ancestry, and I know the difference, but it is true that many North Americans confuse England with the United Kingdom. Many of us I am afraid are just ignorant.

  • @PSTripler And some people wonder why we dislike Americans. It's dipshits like you. We don't say stuff about your country, you don't say stuff about ours

  • beautiful. Nice video in HD

  • WTF? Was this film about snow? Rocks? boring copter shots of Embra? This is got to be one of the dumbest documentaries ever! My guess is they didn't quite make it to the Discovery channel or the NatGeo, so why not dump it on YouTube?? Eh? It's full of trash anyways... right? ... a complete waste of my precious 22 minutes.

  • @etraderx11 read the fucking title retard

  • @nigastolemyyoshi1 why so mad?

  • @nigastolemyyoshi1 Fuck you! I read the title, but there was no "wonderland" in the film. Just a bunch of rocks covered with snow. The whole movie was like: "Look - a rock,... Look another rock..., and here is the same one again, but from a different side"... This movie teach you NOTHING! It might be of any interest to someone from mid-Africa who's never seen snow before, but for the rest of us this movie is shit! And so are you for being an idiot, a complete SHIT!

  • @etraderx11 lol exactly, how is this attractive to people? I rather stay in africa with elephants and lions. They have the coolest animals on earth.

  • @xxkarinaaxx they might have the animals, but no snow...., dumb ass, dumpster head. They've seen those animals many times, so it may not be as attractive to them as the snow... Get it? oh, who cares.

  • @etraderx11 racist

  • The scots call that snow?? Its a nice powder at best.
