They aren't religious at all in their lyrics. They're just a bit spiritual, they care about "thinking". "Send Me a Sign", for example, is a spiritual song not a "religious" song at all.

I'm not saying they don't believe in God or Allah or Buddah or whatever, it's their personal business. I'm just saying they don't have "religious songs".

This song is more about who rules the religions and stuff, who uses them for "not-so-religious" purposes (usually, ALL of them). Jesus was a kind guy.
