  • This and Sir Paul's (original) versions both made me cry. Sorry but this song always makes me emotional..

  • for me this is the best version of this song i heard during the last 20 min listening to cover of this great song

  • mean you are "lisatra"

  • so awful and sterile. i wish eddie vedder's penis were involved somehow.

  • A mais bela interpretação desta obra prima dos beatles.

    Maravilhosa Sissel

  • @magicmusicbesti ....Find yourself a good shrink American boy...

  • Paul is Genius

  • great job. better then c. dion

  • A Jamieson look at a young's girl's poise: Sissel, even at a young age, had the touch of the Tom boy. Debbie Reynold's exemplified it on screen. Sissel exemplifies it on stage, the look of a young girl's secret love or is it crush?

With heartfelt love for adventure and the sound of a lover in love,

    Jamieson (Peter)

    Refer to Sissel's "Some day".

  • anyone can post the lyrics of this song please?:)

  • O.. So beauty!!

  • She's a good singer, but I think they should have stuck with the original acoustic guitar for the instrumentals.

  • Oh. My. God!

  • BEAUTIFUL ! '' A LUZ DA MANHÃ '' BY CÉSAR LEITÃO(THE BEATLES)

  • BEAUTIFUL !

  • That's the song that helped me to conquer my beloved wife's heart...!

  • The Beatles would be flattered with this version.

Lovely song, lovely arrangement, breathtakingly lovely singer.

  • love her version!

  • Ok.

    Me while reading the comments:

    "Celline version is better"

    "Beautiful..."

Ok, i think someone will kill me for that. But, for me it's a shame that when i look for here, there and everywhere by the beatles and that comes first. It's a good version, but i just have to say: THE BEATLES ARE BETTER o-o DON'T KILL ME

  • @fodgd I was just about to say the same!

  • This was released on her 1992 album Gift of Love when she was 23. Her voice is even more beautiful now. When I consider the tremendous range of material she sings, her amazing vocal skills, her presentation, and her indescribably beautiful voice, for me she is the best singer in the world. James Horner made no mistake when he chose her to sing Titanic.

  • Sissel has a purer and more crystal voice than any singer I have heard. She sings like an angel. She brings a serene gladness into one's heart.....

  • beuatiful...very...very

  • In the Beginning, there was only Darkness. And then came Sissel...

  • Her vocal is very suitable for such a lovely ballad. Perfect!

  • beutiful just beutiful.......this song is so amazing.......... sissels version is beutiful so is celine dions....... both have beutiful voices but the beatles are the best....(no offence because they wrote the song) god bless the beatles and the cover artists... ;)

  • @paxton111100 True, but the Beatles are also known to appreciate good interpretations of their songs by other artists. This in the end will keep their music alive, and should be regarded as a tribute to them

  • maravilhosa!!!!

  • Such a beautiful cover. Each talented artist honors the work with their cover across time, genre, and culture - a tribute to the song. Sissel, Andy Williams (smooth 60s,70s pop), Alan Price, David Benoit (jazz piano), Tracy Huang, Guitar Romantica (Classical guitar), Belarus (Rock), Emmylou Harris (Bluegrass), Celine Dion, Chet Atkins (Country guitar), Char (Japanese guitarist), and even a steel drum version (remember Phoebe's wedding on "Friends?") Bravo! Sir Paul!

  • best cover version of this legendary song. sissel you're best female singer out there!

  • This is the only cover that gave me goosebumps whilst listening

  • her voice tames me

  • Oh, my God ... Sissel's is the loveliest singing I've heard ...

  • A wonderfully sweet version. You can't go wrong with Sissel.

  • Angelic and so in love. Seldom a cover better than the original. Best ever version!

  • I've fallen in love with Sissel Kyrkjebø

  • Sissel has been my fave. She sang this soooo beautifully.Gave justice to the song.Forever a Fan!!!

  • sissel voice make the whole world silent

not fair we compared she with maccartney....

    but she done very well

  • If you want to listen to four really beautiful versions of this song, listen to Sissel, Celine Dion's, Shuber's and Zoe louk's. you will see and hear four beautiful women with beautiful voices, each performing wonderful versions of this classic song.

  • welcome to KL, sissel

  • bring me to the cloud ~

  • Linda canção.

  • The best.

  • she choosed a right song.........

    mean she know her capability

    PERFECT STRANGER

  • Beautiful, beautiful, beatiful voice !!! Is she still singing?

  • I love this cover.

But Paul McCartney version is the best :D

  • @ilovevogue7 Both brilliant songwriters. Both brilliant singers in all styles. But Lennon had by far the greater vocal power.

  • @TheBeatlesShop Certainly Lennon thought the same thing. I think the most telling statement was when asked about Oh, Darling, he said that it was a great one of Paul's that he didn't sing too well. He thought that he should have sang it because it was more his style, but since McCartney wrote it that wasn't going to happen. I disagree, because if you listen to Oh Darling and She Came in Through the Bathroom Window I think Paul does a great job.

  • 2:05, her eyes and smile remind me of Kara Dioguardi from American Idol

  • Très belle interprétation!

  • this song make me want to be with her on a romantic date

  • omg great voice

  • absolutely brilliant , crispy voices.

  • sounds so relaxing :)

  • wow! i really love this song it reminds me my my first true and last love i love him so much no one can replace him here in my heart. he always have special place here in my heart...i love you my handsome blue eyes...love you so much muahhhhhhhhhhhhh***

  • I love Sissel's version!

  • wow...sweet voice!

  • not a patch on paul

  • @SuperDaddymac1 I am a great Beatles fan and although Paul was a brilliant song writer, and an integral part of the band, he never had the greatest of voices. If anything John had the better voice of the two. The real strength of the Bealtes is the way they performed together, and the legacy they left which will ensure that others will perform their music for evermore.

  • @blackbeasthamish Thats 100% bullshit. Macca was by far the one one with the strongest vocal. He had, and still has in some extent, such reach in his voice

  • @ilovevogue7 I think we are going to have to agree to differ on that. I agree that Paul is an excellent musician but his voice is not the strongest by a long way. This showed up rather more when he had to go solo and some of his work, especially with Wings, was not very good.. You can hear him having to strain on the higher notes, and on live performances it is even more noticeable John might have had a slightly shorter vocal range but in terms of power it beat Paul's by some distance.

  • So beautiful!

    Beautiful melody and beautiful lyrics...

  • That's charming. My song of the day, thanks Bob.

  • my most facourite version--calming, soothing, just lovely!

  • Thanks very so much for this version; so lovely and soft when Sissel goes up on those higher notes where Paul sings in falsetto so softly and tender. I´m melting.... Greet. janne

  • LOVELOVELOVE

  • he fits this song better than celine..

  • i love him and i really want him in my life

  • very nice

  • ".........I want him everywhere........watching his eyes and hoping I'm always there...". Angelic and enchanting voice...wonderful version.

  • beautiful

  • really good cover, she has a very angelic voice.

  • Our Local radio station NHK

was intoroduce this music, that I love her voice very much!

  • It feels like you're lying right next to her,..stroking your hair while listening to her warmth.soothing voice..

  • Personal taste is the overriding consideration when one prefers one version over another. However Sissel's voice is in another universe when compared to the "instrument" of McCartney.

But everyone has the inalienable right to choose his fav version.

  • agreed with Bob ArtsGallery

    norwegian proud

BUT please dont compare with paul mccartney version

  • I like Sissel's version much better. Sissel's smooth flowing voice is more inline with the Beatles on this very sweet and simple song. Celine Dion to me seems to be forcing the song and making it too complicated.

    Listen to the Beatle's version.

  • @Newbedforddr - i agree.

  • beatiful..beatiful...beatiful more heart more feelings than celine...

  • Totally,

though I adore celine dion's art!

  • Just listened to Celine´s version, and with all my respect to her as a great singer, I think Sissel´s version is more relaxing and sweet !!

  • @BobsArtGallery agree, she fits the song better than celine...

  • @BobsArtGallery yes yes !!

  • @Ferika75 ...You are welcome Jane !!

  • @BobsArtGallery TOTALLY agree with you! Dion is just another shouty screamy diva - awful. It's what you leave out not what you put in I always believe.

  • @hope8224

but please dont compare with maccartney

  • Неплохо

  • Great version. From a Scouser.

  • Very pleasant and amazing interpretation of this wonderful the Beatles song.

  • 1.58 - 2.08

    look like fauziah latif

  • norwegian proud

  • Classics!

    Wonderfulo voice of Sissel!

In what album did this version obtain from?

  • No one beats Beatles!!! :@

  • Bless her, its a lovely version, and she sings it really well.

  • agreed

  • Ha ha! i never said it was bad, just liked hoopers comment, have a go at him not me! i actually think its a nice version and agree beatles songs are made for eveyone to share and interprate, even if thier from belguim!

  • hooper...your comment made me laugh so much....staight out of a viz comic...thx!

  • Comment removed

  • thank you bob.........

    sissel home town please

mac cartney from heart BUT not bad from sissel

  • Come on...She is a great singer...can´t you just ignore such silly remarks and enjoy her beautiful singing instead !!...Besides if you are a Beatles fan, then use a nicer language ....

  • bcoz the singer is a girl...she dedicate it to a guy..

  • I don't care. It's not her song to change.

  • that's what you call "revival" ok? Good luck!

  • She is no lesbian. Why would she want to run her hair through from a girl. She's smart .. Think before you make silly comments Hooper.....

  • @Hoopermazing It is pretty standard to use gender-appropriate changes in covers. In this case it hurts nothing. It would be fine either way, though.

  • what sissel album can i get songs like here there everywhere and you'll never walk alone?

  • Wow, very good version.

  • Comment removed

  • Very lovely

  • who is she? nice voice

  • She is Norwegian, born 24. juni 1969.

  • why do female singers always change the pronouns. we all know you're not a fucking lesbian, sing it the way it was meant to be sung. "his" and "him" just sound weird because this is a soft, dreamy song and "her" fits the flow of it better "him" and "his" are too harsh of words

  • Thanks for this gift!

  • I love good songs. Beatles are part of my life.

  • Superb!

  • She's great. I'm a new fan. And with Charlotte as well, the female singing talent just keeps growing.

  • I love this version. ^^

  • Well I thought it was damned good, give credit where it's due,and she's very attractive as well !

  • its not great, but I gues its ok :P

    Go The Beatles<33

  • Check out her version of Shenandoah.

  • kvinnan e så jä..a läcker!

    sjunger himla bra också

  • I've never heard of her....she sings great though.

  • love it! reminds me of my childhood crush

  • hahaha yeah me too...Paul McCartney!~

  • Mea culpa. you're right. I don't say things like that and am simply having a bad day.

  • George isn't giving thumbs up, he just forgot which finger it should have been. Go Beatles !

  • That was mean said...she is a marvelous singer....

  • I love George giving the thumbs up at the end, great touch.

  • I like Celine Dion's cover but it is one the best anyway!

  • Gorgeous. Perfect pitch.

  • nice voice...

    beautiful song...

    thank you...

  • Beautiful!!!

  • finally found it! i love her version.. tnx
