  • i have one question..

did you play the notes on a midi keyboard or you wrote the notation and it was played by the pc?

Is there a software that you can write the notes just out of a virtual piano? Without having to write with strict notation rules i mean..

(not sure if you get what i mean)

  • Finale 2009 or Sibelius 6? I'm not too sure what your asking for. You can use Finale to write the sheetmusic (through mouse or MIDI) without using a sequencer (Cubase, SONAR, Reason etc...)

  • thanks for you interest!

what i want to do is to write the song without having to write the notation.

for exmple if you wanna write it on guitar pro you have to write it with the strict notation rules(count the time of each note, meters, tempo etc).So i was wandering if there was another program that you could write what you want without having to worry about meters not matching etc...like writing each note(through a virt piano or smthing) and how long you want it to be played??

  • Then you do want a sequencer! I.E. ProTools is my sequencer of choice, Logic would be mine for Mac but I currently use Cakewalk SONAR (PC) dam you macs...

  • @prifterpan why dont you buy a 49$ midi controller....i dont see your point ...

  • @lapmarty i have no experience on these things thats why..

I dont know what a midi controller is..

  • good shit :)

  • huh .. logic is alright but it's not for me .. i'm thinking of switching to Cubase ..

  • Hey, not bad. But could you please tell me what host program that is?

  • Looks like garage band. But if its not, then i have no clue.

  • It's not. It's Logic Pro 8.

  • Hey - how do you get to this multi track recorder in East/wast? Can you play the notes using the computers keyboard?

  • the sequencer (multi-track) is Logic Pro. and logic pro has a way to play the notes using the computer keyboard. a MIDI controller would be the good route to go though. save up.

  • Thanks!

  • .))))
