I saw the unplastered inverted PolyGram Filmed Entertainment logo at the end of the 2-part miniseries "The Jacksons: An American Dream" on vh1 last week!
I hate it when studios do that. Just because a movie company completely absorbs another company dosen't mean they should erase another company's logo history on their films and TV shows. Most studios have the decency to keep their original logos on some of their movies and TV shows.
That's true. About a couple of years after that deal went down, Universal started putting their logo on the DVD boxes of most of their PolyGram releases, but they haven't yet started plastering their logo on their movies. Which really sucks because PolyGram's Icarus logo was really well done in my opinion.

Since Universal Brought Polygram In 1999, The Universal Logo Is In Polygram's Place.

de Passe Entertainment is the successor to Motown Productions, although Motown Records still exists today.

It had the line drawing in, just like in its theatrical version.

Actually, from "The Jackson's: An American Dream" TV Special.

You're both right. It was from the 2-part miniseries "The Jacksons: An American Dream."
Initially sandwiched between Motown and KJ Films was the late '80s PolyGram logo, inverted.

Never seen that variant of Universal as a short verison.

Maybe that's really the full animation of the Motown logo?

Lol, that editing is unintentionally hilarious!

I think the Universal logo probably plastered over the Polygram one.

Well remember, in 1999, PolyGram was acquired by Seagram & Sons, but the deal was completed in 2000.
