Just to add, Albert Einstein, one of the 20th centuries greatest minds, was in support of earth crust displacement as a geological phenomenon. 2012 prediction and the myan callender is just something we've missinterpreted, we look to it as some sort of divine knowledge of the future when instead we should be looking at it as some kind of beautiful yet catastrophic record of the past.

2) it's likely to me that the myans witnessed this event, or learned of this event and began tracking the stars from this date BELIEVING that it was an earth cycle, in an attempt to try and predict when this catastrophe would happen again. It's not that the catastrophe is due to happen again, but it's that the catastrophe did happen and that it was EXPECTED to happen again under the assumption that it was a natural cycle of the earth. Astronomy jury so happened to be the way of prediction.

1) A lot of the largest and most ancient sites around the world follow a straight line in a great line that goes all the way around the globe. If this line were positioned over our modern equator, true north would line almost perfectly with magnetic north. I'd be interested to see if you could debunk this fact because it would save me a lot of work, as this in my eyes is geological proof that earth crust/magnetic displacement has happened in the past.

just think of it this way..if you would agree ice ages come in "seasons" and we are going around the galaxy's center. When do you think seasons change? Global warming is not caused by us. Every planet in our solar system have been heating up more and more in the past ten years. For the past we have been in the same area but we are switching to another area.

I am more afraid now after seeing your presentation. I thought debunkers would have better evidence but apparently not. YOu have to debunk actual points. What I find interesting about the texts and what they say about the planets, is that they talked about what the planets looked like when they ( Anunnaki ) came in. Zachariah Sitchen wrote the 12th planet before they found out what Uranus and Neptune looked like. He wrote the book in 1976. They found out in 1979, that Uranus and Neptune were bluish green planets, just like the Cuneiform said. So, what does he have to say to that?

Does this guy read Sumerian cuneiform? And, How can he say that these seals aren't depicting another planet when it shows an outside planet?  The scientist find planets all the time, so I don't see the impossibility of there being an elongated planet in our solar system that shows perturbations of Uranus and Neptune. Why then are they laying on their side? How long has this guy been studying Archeology and translations. I'm sure he hasn't been doing it for a lifetime like Zachariah Sitchen.

This presentation is another example of how you can "Cherry pick" research journals and whatever to try to "prove" something.

I'm not trying to say if there's something significant about 2012 or not. Just saying people have to do their own research from an unbiased perspective. Which is pretty damn hard to do.

I do however, hope that something, anything, happens in 2012 because the path that we're on right now I think we can all agree is not a good one.

You speak of alignments and conjunctions. My position would be that the ending of the calendar is more than sufficient focus. It is its OWN REFERENCE related to their culture or possibly to the world culture.

My view is that it comes too close to the millennium of Christ, especially since the "transmigration" of Christ from heaven to human form occurs around the winter solstice.Christ abyses Satan at this time.

I think you are basically right but...

...the definition of the meaning of the word "planet" is different in astronomy and astrology (which was the same as astronomy in the Sumerians times). In astrology "planet" are those "stars" that change their position relatively quickly compared to the "fixed" stars (they plane). So the Sun and Moon *are* planets by that definition.

As there is 12 signs in the zodiac, I figure that every astrologer from all ages have had the opinion that there should be more planets in the solar system (12 and not 7). In fact today we know 11 "planets" and hundreds of asteroides (Eris, the 2003 UB313 been the 11th and maybe Kiron is the 11th and Eris the 12th). My point is that it is no wonder that they had a drawing with 12 planets. They were probably tring to locate it with astrology and you know what? They may have done it successfully.
