Curious if anyone has read THE ICE GORILLA book yet? I only ask because I read movie producers are currently looking at THE ICE GORILLA in regards to making the book into a movie.
Tyrannosaurus Rex was indeed a monster. At nearly fourteen metres long, it stood over six metres high. It had an immensely powerful bite that could deliver a force three times as strong as a lion's. Its jaws were like giant shears, shattering bone and snapping whole limbs in two; they could open wide enough to devour huge chunks of flesh in one bite. T. rex had excellent eyesight and a keen sense of smell and could spot or sniff out a meal from miles away.
@GeorgieZillaFan Predator X's bite was near four times stronger than that of Tyrannosaurus and ten times that of an average Allogator. T. Rex's bite force was closer to 8000 pounds, actually.
T-Rex's bite force in 2008 was estimated to be able to go as high as 18,000 pounds per square inch, there was a huge documentary on it an showed what T-Rex's jaws could do to a car an it was pretty impressive. Predator X did have a stronger jaws as did Megalodon an about 2 or 3 other sea creatures.
That i do not argue but T-Rex had the strongest jaws on any ''land animal'' on this planet
@XxComablackxX1937 Wasn't that 'Truth about Killer Dinosaurs'? And they didn't give any estimation but only scaled it up in the steel model and demonstrating on cow bone. Estimations have always varied, but the latest proof I have seen is in a 2008 report on Predator X and its 33,000 psi bite force. The report exclaimed 'A bite four times that of Tyrannosaurus'.
I'm not arguing that T. Rex didn't have the 'strongest jaws', 8000 psi is still the highest bite force recorded of any land animal.
