@neronnenn Questa canzone sebbene possa apparire allegra nasconde l'immensa tragicità della vita ed un rimpianto quello di non aver ricevuto l'estremo saluto ed una degna sepoltura. La Crozza cioè il Teschio che parla appartiene ad un condannato a morte che, come usanza voleva, veniva esposto su una torre; il resto del corpo veniva smembrato in più pezzi e sepolto ai quattro angoli della città.

She didnt just sing what she had to sing: she made a cultural exchange with the people who listened to her: in each professional travel she made, she added to her repertory some songs issued from the popular repertory of the visited nation. This was the case in Italy: In the 70's, Italy was "surrendered" to the art of Amalia.

Amalia sang in Italian dialects such as Sicilian ou Roman as she did in other languages, ranging from Spanish dialects of Castillian to classical French, because her art and voice raised her from a Portuguese singer to the category of Artist of the World. I am glad she sang some italian songs. I am disappointed to see her with a cigarette. That is the worse thing you could do for such a grandeur voice.
