Wow thanks for showing the box because im getting 150Mbit / 35mbit Fios next week (NJ/NY) and wanted to know if the ONT outputs to Ethernet because i want them to install it in the house and my house is 1Gbit network with 1Gbit Router WAN port (Linksys WRT610N).
It does not matter much. I would connect the wired computers directly to the Verizon router, only because there is less travel for the data. I had it both configurations and couldn't tell a difference.
If i had a similar set up like yours, where i use the router provided by verizon connected to a linksys or d-link router, which router should i connect wired devices to?
I have the same kind of setup with an access point plugged in, but up one floor by Cat-6 for a better signal upstairs. The Verizon router is sending a signal to the basement mostly, and on a different channel.
Fiber optic going in to ONT, then coaxial coming out
