@pailintia "huk" mean love in Lao. "Ruk" mean love in Thai. Thai use alot of the "R" or "L'. Example: "Pleng" mean music or song in Thai. "Peng" is how we say it in Lao. Ahhh - Lao and Thai language & culture are similiar... These guys are not from Chiangmai.. They are from Ventiane, Laos.
He's singing in the Lao language. But since Thai language sounds like Lao language, it's not surprising that some people on YouTube are getting the two languages mixed up. But for the record, the words he uses in the lyrics are all Lao words. If those words also exist in the Thai language, then that just means both languages are related to one another. Whether Lao or Thai, when you're singing a note in tune, both languages will by default sound the same because they're singing to western music.
If you really know Lao language you wouldn't think that way. It is the way they sing in tune to the song that makes it sound Thai but as you already may know.. Laos language is very similar to Thai so start listenning to more modern Lao songs and you might see the difference. Remember, you don't sing and speak in the same tunes otherwise it would just sound like talking instead of singing.

good song!.
where's the Thai? This is peng Lao!...I think Laos people have become so used to hearing Thai pop/rock for so long.....
Only until a few years ago did the Laos government open up and allowed Lao artists to perform this type of music...
