seems cool but not a phone u want to be stuck in a contract for..
to be honest i think this phone is pretty poor!!!! i have used hardly any of my memory and the phone freezes, laggs like a bitch and slow. also for some reason my phone short cut key keeps dissapearing from my homescreen. really annoying phone!!
I can not get rid of my N900, no other phone offers the features and quality of my N900, the FM transmitter is one, Full Web pages with flash, the keyboard is good, Skype integration on the phone (not an app), camera and video camera that are of very good and usable quality. As far as the apps, useless stuff is out there, the N900 has very many open source apps that are fun, usable and plenty. Love it.
I think this is way better than the n97... it has a new OS and has a kickstand... ANd its excellent web browser but still has its drawbacks but well... everyone has one... two... or more...
STill I think I love this phone, btw would you do an xperia x2 review???
Sweet review man! Thanks and *5! But I did caught you saying it has a left and right stereo speaker (which is a left and right mono speaker. The left and right together makes it stereo)
is this phone a very bulky phone because i need a small phone like the n97 mini , but i need a fast phone so i have a choice between n97 mini or this n900 , please help
nice review. i have one myself. i think it is a great piece of HW. the one thing that kind of bothers me is that u really need get a net connection for the start. it will be nice if u can just install apps like on WM or Symbian. i know u can do i t after rooting the phone but still, u have to dl that first.USB internet sync with PC would be nice out of the box. got to get a wi-fi router :) otherwise it is almost flawless (beside it is pretty heavy).
faster processor, larger screen, more ram, act as a wifi router off your contract internet. smaller displacement as a whole now you tell me whats better with this. im not a nokia hater in fact i had toe n958gb for 2 years and i loved it but the hd2 is a step up from any nokia phone in production today its just alot more refined and modern if you havnt actually held one in your hand youll fail to understand why they feel so great i would have the n900 over the iphone but thats about it
Thanks Trent For Not Including The Virtual Keyboard In Your Reviews. My N900 Virtual Keyboard Video Remains The Most Viewed Video For That Type Of Feature Of The N900.
Hey Trent, Alot Of People On Youtube Are Talking Trash About The N900 Saying That The HD2 Is Much Better. I Think It Would Be Really Awesome If You Do A Comparison Video Of The 2 Devices.
That's Ridiculous! They Both Have Significant Business Features, They Both Have 5mp Cameras, They Both Have Fast Processors, They Both Have Desktop Styling Internet Browsing, Etc Etc.
Any Phone Can Be Compared If Put In The Right Context.
The concept is very differend. The HD2 has businessfeatures just because it's WinMo. But the Sense-interface doesn't do anything with it. And with that batterytime it's certainly no business phone. The camera on the HD2 is crap. Certainly not a serious implementation as it is on the N900. Fast processor, o. But which current day high end smartphone doesn't have that? Same with the other things you mention.
You can't compare a full touchscreen phone with a tabled PC-like device.
It depends. If you find a decent camera and adjustment possibilities important, then yes. In terms of OS and software possibilities, a linuxdistro is unbeaten for the smartphonelover.
The HD2 however looks very slick, classy and thin.
I own the HD2, and think that software-wise it has the wrongs form both worlds. Way to extensive. It can do everything. But when you need to do something simple, phone-like make a call, or send a file over bluetooth, it just doesn't work well or logically.
what is the infared?

If you are looking for something similar to the N97 mini, then I would not suggest the N900 since it is considerably bulkier.
absolon3 1 year ago
@absolon3 what would you suggest ? i need something like the n97 mini ,or the n97 mini , do you think i should get it ?
COD4kade 1 year ago
@COD4kade
go to the store and try it in your hands. In the end it may be to big for you or just about right size, but you`ll never know until you try ;)

It's "infrared" not "infared"! You captioned it and spoke it incorrectly. You have a diploma in wireless comms!!!

The two are incomparable. Both are smartphones, and the possibilities to compare stop there.
