Why, Disney, do you INSIST on continuing to make 3D animated films!? That's why you guys have PIXAR (who has been saving your butts for YEARS).

And not only is this movie 3D animated, but it's also a PRINCESS movie... WHY!? You mean to say you've forgotten all about your 2D animated princess movie legacy? COME ON, DISNEY!!!

Pfftt you call yourself a Disney fan? The only reason Princess and the Frog didn't get well supported was because the princess spent half the movie as a FROG. Nuff said. This movie would've been a better 2D comeback for Disney. PERIOD.

@WumWip Yes, yes I do. But that's not the point. And I do believe the word "princess" in the title has something to do with boys and men not wanting to see the movie. And I hardly believe a 2D version of the movie can compare to the enjoyment, visuals and character design of the 3D version.

Everyone has their opinions.They're forgetting where they have come from. And for the record, Princess and the Frog had very stunning visuals. It's not the form of animation, it all depends on how the work is done. When I watch a Disney film I want to feel the love, care, and time that each artist put into the film, which only seems to be notable through 2D animated Disney films. Don't get me wrong, I love the 3D stuff too, but nobody make 2D animated films anymore.

@WumWip When 2D is shown to be a tough sale, people are really taking their chances making 2D movies. Plus Rapunzel was never intended to be 2D in the first place. It was planned to be a CGI movie since day one. The Princess and the Frog is only responsible for the changing of the title and who the movie to focus mostly on.

Disney was the ONLY company who did 2D right... like I said, they've forgotten where they've come from, and they're trying to show up other 3D animation companies... in this case, it's Dreamworks...

@WumWip Disney's the only company today which still makes 2D movies, even if they are DTV. The new WInnie the Pooh movie set for next year is the only 2D animated movies in the works of Disney. There aren't any news about future 2D animated movies. Not yet anyway

@oilmeuprobot Yep. Disney wants more boys to be interested in this film. That's why they re-titled it "Tangled" instead of "Rapunzel" so there isn't a princess connotation.

This looked good actually. I'm nore of a Disney 2D guy, but this looks like it has the magic, chracter development, and plot of the 2D movies from the 90s, except with 3D animation...

The good news is, it is like a CGI animated way to do traditional Disney cartoon animation. I can tell it will be better than previous Disney CGI Pixar-wannabees.

anyway the movie looks great, and @candice9989 don't worry because the old Disney will be back next year =D and this movie will be a musical like classic movies, obviusly it would be better in 2d like the little mermaid, or something but anyway, will be a musical and well fun isn't bad for anyone! ;)

I prefer Old Disney Movies from 50's atleast it was classic adaptation of the original tale. But now disney seems to butcher all its movies and classic tales by inserting cheap comedy.
