  • Hi again, I'm really sorry to bother you with this question again, but is kind of important. If I have let's say a real estate company which is no listed in any equity index so it's 100% private, how can I tell it's beta?, do I compare the share prices with an equity index, even though the share's prices do not fluctuate?.

  • Plot returns against some index - just as in this video. Beta just shows the relationship between your stock and some index - so if the returns for your stock don't move much, the market will and so Beta will give some information of how your stock moves against the index.

  • @ExcelIsFun Thanks a lot, it has been really helpful!!!!
