Here's one for junk mailings: Many places will include a prepaid postage envelope in it. Stuff it with as much garbage as you can and mail it back to them. They are required to pay the postage on that -- including the extra if it's more than an ounce....

You are right. Unfortunately being a former telemarketer i can say first hand that the practices that are used are wrong.
On the other hand these are good people who are unable to find a decent job to support themselves or there families so they have to resort to working at a call center to make ends meat. I do approve of your method, but i disagree with the other videos that advocate to screaming, shouting, cursing, and even threatening the lives or the people just doing there jobs.

The way i deal with telephone marketers is by blocking anomous calls from your phone and alsio turning on the calll screening feature. You may have to switch to another phone company for that. I got comcast cable. that comes in the telephone package.
I really enjoy my time on the phone with telemarketers. I like explain to them how broke I am and had to eat my dog because I couldn't afford groceries. Or I try to sell them shares in Primerica.

Complain about the companies to the Better Business Beureau. Unscrupilous companies usually aren't members, but if they are, their ratings get tanked, and if they're not members, reports stack up against them. Then, in either case, when the company gets sued, the bad BBB reports reflect badly on them. Making it more likely for a judgment to be ruled against them. Enough people taking action can make a difference!

You are right. Unfortunately being a former telemarketer i can say first hand that the practices that are used are wrong.
On the other hand these are good people who are unable to find a decent job to support themselves or there families so they have to resort to working at a call center to make ends meat. I do approve of your method, but i disagree with the other videos that advocate to screaming, shouting, cursing, and even threatening the lives or the people just doing there jobs.

@mikeoftheages I under stand where you are coming from, with needing a job. But they almost expect us to purchase what they are selling. I remember one time just telling a telemarketer no, that I didn't want to purchase what he was selling, and he still would not hang up. Either I hang up rudely or I am supposed to use up my time to be nice. They call us, our homes, no matter if we tell them not to. When people disrespect me, I do not see why I should respect them. Companies are too greedy.

The way i deal with telephone marketers is by blocking anomous calls from your phone and alsio turning on the calll screening feature. You may have to switch to another phone company for that. I got comcast cable. that comes in the telephone package.

I really enjoy my time on the phone with telemarketers. I like explain to them how broke I am and had to eat my dog because I couldn't afford groceries. Or I try to sell them shares in Primerica.

thank you undergroundcorpses... i hope this guy gets his girlfriend(if he has one) pregnant and he can't find a job so he has to do telelmarketing. I will agree with him on one thing how companies wrongly use convicts and foreigners to try and sell to people who have no business with them. But i work at a call center for health insurance and united way and red cross. Dignified business who people are affiliated with. A job is a job. Repo men, garbage men, lawyers, salesmen. Everyone needs pay.

thats whati dont get, im a telemarketer and people dont realize that its just a job, and im just calling them and offering better prices on the cable package or upgrading there phone service or interne service. all we do is offer them better deals to save money. but it makes me ma when you get people that are horrid and cruel.. when they have to understand that were just going to work and doing or job. its not like were intentionally bothering them... that what people need to realize.

Two words people: American Idol. Next time you get a call, then as whether the person likes tacos or something else. When the person answers, affirmatively or not, start singing a retarded song about tacos (or your favorite thing). Just wing it as you sing. I like to sing "Tacos, I love the tacos. I love the tacos". Just sing it again and again like a retard. A telemarketer once kept repeating, "Sir, you cannot sing on the telephone." I laughed until I cried when she finally hung up.

Complain about the companies to the Better Business Beureau. Unscrupilous companies usually aren't members, but if they are, their ratings get tanked, and if they're not members, reports stack up against them. Then, in either case, when the company gets sued, the bad BBB reports reflect badly on them. Making it more likely for a judgment to be ruled against them. Enough people taking action can make a difference!
