I don't think I will ever understand the Japanese. I cannot for the life of me understand why Japanese people should care any more about celebrating Christmas than I should about celebrating Kanamara Matsuri. It seems like the more I learn about Japan, the less I understand. I often wonder if they feel the same way about our culture, or if they think that we can be fully understood should they desire to attempt to do so.
