@mikeybbdrummin I never heard much from Bissonette other than stuff he did with Dave. I've always heard he was a real badass, though. Alex was my first drumming influence. He was the reason I got into playing drums. Over the years I lost interest in drumming and took up guitar and bass. I'm beginning to be reinspired to play drums again thanks to the new Van Halen material. Alex hasn't changed a bit, which is a great thing to say. I just might buy me a set of Ludwigs here soon!

Yes this rocks. Regarding the mix, this is a low quality sample and if you listen closely you will realise it is only a mono recording and only from the right or left side as well, which is why the guitar sounds washy.

SWEET....haha and about the EQ kiddies...these are not legit, final mixes but low rate samples that have been sacrificed over and over just to get here, these arent from the real deal album, @stripes5150, did you really think these are final mixes? and 4k is not even existent on the guitars.....i think you were just kidding......THIS is why bands dont like these samples to get out before the real deal.....Van Halen RULES and RULES ALL!!! BOCEPHUS MODE!!!!!

With regards to the mix, I believe all these 30 sec. previews were pulled off the same media player on a dutch site bol.com, which would explain the reduced quality.

Compare this to the 90 sec. clips released and the difference is night and day.

From what i've heard on this album it really sounds like it could've been EQ'd better. Not saying i could do better, but from what i've head the sound quality is just horrible

@Sean2592 dude, I couldn't agree more. I just posted "hang the engineers" on the Stay Frosty video. The EQ and the mix suck, but we seem to be the only ones saying it. Oh well.

@hummarstra the guitars are pushing the final limiter to the point that the drums are sacraficed...they must have sidechained the vox...cause they are in front....ya...bad mix and eq....too much 100hz and 4k on the guitars

@hummarstra i don't know who the producers were but as much as EVH is about sound. I can't imagine this is the final mix. That's why I buy CD's and not the Itunes store crap. because the bands can change that. And what few songs i do have have changed at least one time
