i am for a ban on father s day, because for those that are separated or divorced, it is a good day to hurt a father by not allowing the kids to see their fathers.. my ex is selfish and will rather take the car, put the kids init and drive to see her own father than be mindfull and a parent that still think that i am still the father of my kids.

I try to remember to call my step-dad every year if it's possible for father's day... it cheers him up and at his age, he's 77. it makes him feel special, so i do it because i love him. I think a lot more people should, if nothing else, call your dad, say happy dad's day and talk to him for a while, especially if you don't get to see him much. My step-dad is suffering from early Alzheimer's, and i want to make sure he knows how much i appreciate him before he doesn't remember me any more.
