Yeh my box was slightly damaged but it was under the classification sticker which was on the clear wrapping, saw it while unboxing :(

and yeh the art book annhilated the white holder in the box lol, still have my premium package box but it,has gone through tough times to siblings ;)

You gave them a 98 MGS premium package, and they produced this? Its just not sophisticated looking enough in comparison to any premium package to demand that price mark. Box is devoid of Shinkawa art work.. result after 3 weeks on Zavvi? not selling out. Heard Xbox version isn't even a real printed steelbook is a last minute sticker book.

I ordered a ps3 and Xbox copy and both were incompetently pack by Zavvi so both were damaged. Some of the pictures I've seen of the way they packed copies that went abroad defy belief. I'm not buying anything from them again.

Got my replacement this morning, believe it or not but it came packaged the same way as before, was lucky this time only got a little dent in the corner this time, l will be calling to complain about there packaging...again, but it's the last time l use zavvi for anything, as far as the collectors edition goes the art book is very nice but the steelbook is just a fuckin sticker stuck on the front and back, cheap cunts!!!

Anyone in the UK not received theirs yet? It pained me to spend £70 on this in the first place, and now i hear they are all coming damaged, and despite preordering months ago, i still dont have this on release day. If this arrives any later than tomorrow and/or is damaged in the slightest i feel sorry for the customer service staff that have to deal with me.

Ps3 is real steelbook and 360 version is a stickerbook. Simple as that. Now zavvi, I just want to say that your packaging techniques are the worst I've ever seen! Hardly any bubble wrap inside and the most flimsy type of parcel box I've ever seen! What happened? After paying Konami so much to get this exclusive did you have no money left for good packaging materials? You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for treating customers like that!

Also I totally agree with LupusInfernum. It's principle. I have a thing about collecting special & limited editions too & I'm a big of MGS fan myself & when I pay good money for anything I want to buy, especially when it comes to special or limited editions, I expect them to be in perfect condition. I got my email from Zavvi yesterday saying that my PS3 limited edition has been despatched. I'm getting worried now cause I watched the vids on LupusInfernum's channel & I was just shaking my head through both of his videos saying to myself, I can't believe it was sent like that specially from Zavvi. I tell you if mine arrives either damaged, the game isn't sealed or the steelbook is just stickers, I'm gonna be so disappointed & will be on the phone in anger!!!

My PS3 version came damaged! The box was too small for the item and was lying in the box at an angle! Naturally the box got moshed around and ended up taking damage so no thanks to Zavvi's incompetent packaging, I now have a damaged outer box! I have the proper steel book but my fear is that if I return to for a replacement, I'll get a stickered steel book! You really dropped the ball on this Zavvi...and my videos are proof of it!

Got this a week early, no damages and the shirt is a very small "Medium", The art book is very nice however and the in game manual is superb. But the "Steelbook" is a piece of shit, its a very flimsy thin steelbook with MGS stickers on the front, not what was originally promised when they showed off some of the Steelbook production images. Box is very nice and big, artwork is great, and personally worth the money. Better price than a small postcard sized art book like other games.

Mine showed up this morning. I excitedly removed the shrink wrap on the main box then carefully opened the box only to find the steelbook is a fucking bog standard plain metal case with a fucking sticker on it. Fucking bloody hell. And they commented on a blog saying that wouldn't be the case. Yeah the art book is outstanding and the t shirt is cool (left that in the packet). An the worst thing? I bet they won't let me return it since I've removed the outer plastic. Do not buy. get the game only

Im one gutted customer, orderd this version from zavvi, l called them last week to make sure it will be packaged really well with it being expensive and very limited, well it arived this morning (early not out yet) the packaging was crap it was open and the outer box of the game is all dented to fuck, not impressed with zavvi!!! Still get how you feel though. The gaming industry is all about making money now imo instead of decent games...

Why do you make it sound like a good thing you got the artbook? It was much more collectors when it had most metal gears in it and was actually unique. Now it's basically the same as other ones. I mean it's not even Zavvi exclusive anymore. (see ebgames .com)
