I love how Brad May fights but really? Can he score or get an assist for the Leafs? I want the Leafs to acquire a player who can score most of the time. But, he's not better than Domi for sure. Welcome to Leafs Nation May! Is your birthday in May?
brad may has been your best player the last 2 games.... Good Job Toronto....keep up the good work. He's gonna get on Feb 7th or March 21st when they play the habs....Gayass.
yay this might push them a little further towards a playoffs spot but i also heard that they won't do anything jerastic till they know for sure that there in.
its a 6th round draft pick calm down.. and the leafs need a brad may since holweg isnt getting it done. And so what that hes old isnt that good? he could possibly give up some of his knowledge to the young guys and teach them how to play a old time hockey kinda style
im happy with this choice, the leafs are in a down time and we got someone to give a little spark. remember the leafs aren't wanting to win the cup this year they are starting to build a team for the future
So we trade a draft pick for a 37 year old? Doesn;t make any sense to me. I know its a 6th round draft pick but you never what the player can turn out to be.
I have to mention this. Kovalev and Komisarek the "All-Stars" have 9 and 1 goals each. Kulemin has 7 goals and gets sent down to the minors....
that weird, i woke up this morning and the first thing that came to mind was how i think kulemin should be traded or scratched down to the marlies. lol.
kulemin's gonna be fine once he can speak english...just look at malkin his former linemate, he says he's having more fun now that he understands and can communicate...difference is malkins has more skill when it comes to scoring but kulemin can score but he can also grind, thats why he doesn't have a big a impact yet
I think we can agree to disagree. Kulemin reminds me of Tlusty, a 3rd line player at best. Burke doesn't want 3rd line players who aren't big hitters or fighters. Those two players simply don't fit into his plans. He'll move them if another GM covets them.
Laraque beat them both, He's the CHAMP

this has been one of the best fights on 1/15/2007 between Barch and May

This trade disrupted the chemistry/momentum that the leafs had.

wow watching a video posted by somebody called "MapleLeafsUnofficial" and saying the leafs suck?
your just trying to annoy people.
oh, and nobody cares if you are his kids best friends.
what do you feel special because of that?
and if he was your best friend, you would be supportive about the team you best friends dad plays for...

Yo Leafs rule!!! We won the Stanley Cup the 2nd most in the NHL, 13 times! And Anaheim only once and thats because of Brian Burke!!!
sportsrule24 3 years ago
well maybe wou could say ruled -past tense- now they're a strugling team, but a succesful buisness :S
rjnrf 3 years ago
well the only way the leafs can win a cup is when theres only 6 teams in the league. and they havent won it in 40 years

Is he gonna play on the grabovski/hagman line since kulemin was sent to the marlies?

Can't say this helps the re-build. Brad May adds toughness but he's old and we gave up a draft pick to.

yeah. somethings going wrong in toronto.
I like brad may, hes one tough dude, but hes a old tough dude. why it wasnt possible to get a young tough dude?
WhaleRider86 3 years ago
It was probably an easy trade because Burke is friends with Ducks Organization.

why would you think Kulemin should be traded? your crazy
PorckChop 3 years ago
Kulemin isn't Burke's type of player. He plays soft and on the perimeter. Hopefully the Leafs can move him for a draft pick.
May will add much needed leadership.
carmie1818 3 years ago
Kulemin is the future..its his first time playing in NA and is adjusting to the game and language and hes better than how you described him
PorckChop 3 years ago
Mark my words, he won't be part of the Leafs future. Grabovski and Hagman have carried him this far.

Good move, Kulemin plays soft, and May is a leader.
Burke has always loved May.
carmie1818 3 years ago
Hopefully May can teach the leafs how to play tough.
