Now days Detroit has the worst crime rate in the US. It has a %25 graduation rate and the average cost of a house there is $5700. Why is Detroit in shambles? Because it was the first city that had The Model Cities Program under LBJ and every mayor of Detroit since 1961 has been a Democrat.

But here's the catch --the GOP, since 1900, always pulls competes for DEAD LAST in job creation and GDP growth. Every depression/recession since 1900 is associated and the result of the ECONOMIC INCOMPETENCE of an ideological GOP.

@lennhart Did I say that it wasn't? I don't care what party the person belongs to. Every president in US history has done something that I disagree with. As far as depressions go, from the Civil War till WW II the US had a lot of booms and busts. People like J.P. Morgan and J.D. Rockefeller bailed us out of every single one and then the three "trust busters" come along and bust them. Two were Republicans and one was a Democrat and then when the GD hit they didn't help.

It this were simple incompetence, one should expect them to learn form their mistakes! But NO!! @lennhart I agree with you in the sense that it is about high treason in some cases. However, it is not restricted to the GOP. For instance, the Obama administration has given out wavers to 4 states and 1040 businesses, of which %45.55 of them are Unions that financed the Obama campaign. And Unions make up %11 of the work force. As much as you do not like Bush at least he did not undermine small businesses like that. I mean what good thing has Obama done?

While GOPPS are destroying jobs, presiding over slower growth or --worse --declining GDP, Jimmy Carter, for example, was creating jobs and putting people back to work. Reagan/Bush however gave rich elites a TAX BREAK which NEVER trickled down. Reagan's 80s recession was the deepest, longest since Hoover's great depression. GOP is not a party; it's a CRIME SYNDICATE.

That's not an opinion is a fuckin fact as confirmed by the ONLY sources available for that info: the U.S Bureau of Labor Stats, the U.S. Census Bureau and the U. S. Commerce Dept. Those sources are cited by every major economist --right or left. Secondly, the DEEPEST and LONGEST depression since Herbert Hoover resulted from GDP growth that was second to DEAD LAST. Reagan was beat out for those 'honors' by GW BUSH! GOP is economically incompetent.
